I like how you colored your characters. You'll definitely improve as time goes on and you keep on refining your technique.
As for the forest background, I guess if you're lazy it's fine, but I'd say look up references for forests or from anime backgrounds to make it more clear instead of fuzzy and non-indicative.
I was trying out some new brush textures and settings in SAI, made this quick landscape to see how they look. I think I'll be using it for backgrounds from now on.
this is the 2nd time I posted in this thread (dunno when was the first, but I'm pretty sure it's already buried deep).

Anyway, this is my current WIP, another practice sketch. I've returned to drawing once more to support my ideas, and in the far future, myself.

So, I have been trying to focus on my character designing skills (because that has always been a major weakness of mine) This is the first concept I have put together of one of the main characters in my story and looks like he's turning out ok
Some to be finished sprites for a jam I participated in ^^ Everyone's art is looking nice

Well, just a few sketches~ (The chibis turned out.... better than everything else... :v
The thing I spent the least effort into... well, I'll just have to do my best and study more I guess.)
@Lumella: Toned paper is great, I still have a bunch left I should use.
Color palette practice, using limited colors to create my pictures. It's fun and makes you think how to decide what your darks are gonna be without using black.
I don't think i've ever posted in this thread before, but hey, some time's gotta be a first...
So, this is a sketch/in-progress inking of a stag-human creature inspired by a reply i got on this forum's WIP section.
Just gotta figure out the armor-plates on his legs and finish the tedious chain-mail top...
