Forum rules
Never bump threads. Per rule 16, updates may be posted once every 2 months. Per rule 18, disclose generative AI use when creating/updating a thread. Violating these rules may led to thread deletion.
All prices are in USD. Please note that the prices listed are for non-commercial projects only. Please contact me (see end of post) for commercial pricing and availability.
Pricing depends upon complexity - the more complex and detailed, the more expensive. I don't have a strict guideline, but here's the price list and a set of references to help you figure out what falls under the various price brackets.
Simple Variations ($10 each): Night, Evening, Dawn, etc.
Complex Variations ($20+): Seasonal variations, removing, adding, altering objects in the scene. Price depends upon complexity (size of object that needs altering, amount of re-rendering I have to do, etc.)
Panoramic Backgrounds ($10+): These are backgrounds bigger than the game's screen size. An additional fee will be added to the base price, again depends upon complexity.
I only accept Paypal payments.
I require half payment upfront and half upon completion.
Please do not make direct payments. Once we work together, I'll ask for your Paypal address and send you Paypal Payment Requests (comprised of the commission price + Paypal fees).
Provide basic information about your project (genre, setting, summary, etc). A link to the project's website, blog, or WIP thread is preferable, if available. When we work together, I will ask for references for each background.
I have the final call as to whether a background is simple, medium or detailed.
I will only work in my own style (painterly anime style, as seen in the samples).
I will require compensation for any and all work I've done if your project is initially Non-Commercial but turns into a Commercial project further down the line.
My work should only serve as art assets for your game. You are not allowed to redistribute or resell them separately.
Finally, commissioning me means you have read, understood and will comply to all the terms and conditions outlined above.
Feel free to post here, PM me, or shoot me a mail at sendogfx@gmail.com if you are interested. Thanks!

I already have a few artists committed to the project, but no one who does backgrounds! A lot of the scenes will be englishey style - pubs, indoor venue spaces, classrooms and music studios, as well as a few outdoor shots.
Available again. Adjusted prices just a bit. If you're a previous client of mine, you can avail the old prices for 1 background. I am also planning to do character commissions in the near future (character designs, sprites, and maybe CGs we'll see)
Also, please move this thread to the I'm an Artist forum. Thank you!
Completed: Metropolitan Blues, The Loyal Kinsman, Daemonophilia, The Dreaming, The Thirteenth Year, Adrift, Bionic Heart 2, Secrets of the Wolf, The Photographer
Projects: The Pilgrim's Path, Elspeth's Garden, Secret Adventure Game!

Hi, I will email about some background work today, hopefully you can help based on your examples I hope you can as I have a few projects on the go at the moment so potentially quite a few backgrounds to make.
Crestforge did an amazing job on the background I requested. The pricing is very reasonable considering the quality. Crest provided many in-progress sketches to keep me updated, and took my references and brought them to life very well. Would highly recommend and I'll be commissioning again

Black bookstore owner. Diverse fiction reviewer. Bestselling romance author. Award-winning fiction editor. Quite possibly a werewolf, ask me during the next full moon.
Gonna join on the train of saying that Crest is great to have on a team. The quality of his work speaks for itself, and there's several of us speaking for his work ethic, so really, what more do you need?
