Re: Weekly drawing -- source of drawing motivation!
@Duskylli: Well, I think Gretel gets witch powers or something through that, and then she kills the witch through that. :O
Also, that looks cute, yo! I like the details on the roses.
@Railgun: Daamn, that's awesome! Is... is that girl driving the car, or is she being creepy?

Re: Weekly drawing -- source of drawing motivation!
@unknown5, this is funny! The horse really looks like it wants to run away
@chocojax, thanks! And girl? Haha, it's Max from the movies Mad Max! But I confess I wanted to finish fast so I messed up a bit the scale of the character
Here's my "reference board" for those who are curious:

Re: Weekly drawing -- source of drawing motivation!
Okay, here are some of my Loveless fanarts.
I don't have a tablet or a scanner so I just draw them on paper and ask my friend to use her phone to take pictures of them (cuz I don't have a phone either lol)
Once I have acess to a scanner, I might consider working as an artist for an otome project.

Hey everyone, sorry a little bit late
This is my submission/take on the theme, i think i got a bit carried away with the battle side of things, it counts though right? i mean people are riding on it and going into battle. I wanted to add some battlements on the shoulders and finish off the gas but i thought i better post it or i would just keep going.
@Railgun: ah the interceptor, a true thing of beauty captured wonderfully
@unknown5: hehe, i love it
@mitsukeru73: i think you meant to post in the art dumpage thread, although those are some really nice drawings
I guess being late does have it's advantages at least in this case as i can announce this weeks subject, i don't think this has been chosen so PET MONSTER, it can be big or small, evil or friendly, cute or scary etc.
@Kohaku, nice atmosphere!
Thanks, i've been experimenting with colour quite a bit and it seems to be paying off@Kohaku- Yay more Kohaku stuff! I like the suttle merge between the deep, dark and dead forest and the bright side.

Re: Weekly drawing -- source of drawing motivation!
Yaaay!! I'm not too late
Here's my submission, sorry that it's not in color. I tried to color it, starting with the skin, but just got so frustrated with it. Coloring skin is hard! The problem I have is that my skin looks dead
So for now, here's the line art. (And I really need to improve upon my line art & make it look less sketchy!)
@Railgun: Niiice! Really like the colors & how you pulled from other sources to piece together the look you wanted, good job!
@uknown5: So cute!! When I was a little kid I had a rocking horse but I have no recollection of it! The only way I know this is through pictures/home videos. Are rocking horses still a thing? Kids nowadays seem so fancy and sophisticated with their iphones and ipads and fancy gadgets.
@kohaku What on earth is that? It looks freakin cool, except I'd be terrified of riding either.
Also, it's been a week, so we need a new theme! Any ideas?

Re: Weekly drawing -- source of drawing motivation!
Pet monster? Um, floating cookie cutter penguins count right?
I'm on a penguin drawing spree today.... *drew penguins all over Spanish homework*
...And even though I was just doodling with my tablet so I don't get too bad at it... I ended up with penguins in the background. Ah, but penguins are beautiful. *if you read this short rant on the love of penguins, thank you*

Re: Weekly drawing -- source of drawing motivation!
@Railgun - damn that's one hot ride!
@Duskylli - I like the concept, really nice!
@Shinoki - c... cute... penguins!
Oh wow, it's been a while. Anyway, took a break and decided to join this week! I tried doing sequential art because I was kinda in the groove of drawing so I wanted to get all my ideas out until I burned out haha. For those who are not familiar, a Chocobo is an iconic creature from the Final Fantasy series. They're basically horses in the FF universe. ~Wark!

Re: Weekly drawing -- source of drawing motivation!
@people, thanks ^^
@Kohaku, that's some epic battle going on there!
At first, I thought the monster with the tentacles was flying, because of the gradient of blue. Don't hesitate to place things on top of each other (like the golem's right hand on top of the creature's tentacle or vice versa, depending on what is nearer the viewer). It would create more depth!
@sasquatchii, I like the movement from your drawing!
Actually, don't be afraid to go crazy with skin color and experiment
Or if you have no idea (like me most of the time!) you could use references and color palettes: http://fineartblogger.com/how-to-make-s ... -painting/
Figure painting (nsfw): https://www.google.fr/search?q=figure+p ... CAYQ_AUoAQ
@Duskylli, So cuuute! I totally need this for my best friend's birthday XD
@Shinoki, they sure are cute :O And believe it or not, you're not the first person who loves penguins I hear of!
@crestforge, that's so funny And wow you absolutely nailed the right expressions!

Re: Weekly drawing -- source of drawing motivation!
I finally finished it! I thought it'd be fun to come up with a "chimera" of sorts- a combination of animals I think are really cute. I attempted to mix a bear, bunny, cat, and dog. I was shooting for something more cute, but I think it might have turned out a little creepy? Oh well, this was fun! Note to self: I need to learn how to paint fur better.
@Railgun: Thank you for the tutorials & advice!!! I tried pulling from those and it made things a LOT better! Skin is a tricky beast, and I feel like once I master it I will be able to conquer anything drawing wise
@Crestforge: So cute! Your art style is really nice, and I really like his expression when his friend falls down!
@shinoki: Nice penguins! I like how they're just hanging out with that lady xD
@duskyli: I LOVE IT! I would totally have tea with that monster, it'd be too cute to refuse

Re: Weekly drawing -- source of drawing motivation!
my first time posting anything in here >.<
i made a... hm i have no idea what it, some sort of anglar creature that lures small fish on beaches with its light and is usually kept by shore fishers?he has pretty big legs to step on a fish that was lured in to catch it and kill it at the same time, its little arms dont really serve much purpose (like on a T-rex or something!) theyre easily domesticated if kept fed properly and can learn quite a few tricks with proper dedication
...or something i just made that up on the fly ;;;
