[ADMIN] LSF Profile: Social Network Fields
I've added fields for four social networks to your profile. These services were chosen for relevance to our game development mission, and for having stable user accounts. They are
* Twitter
* Tumblr
* Deviantart
* Github
The links will appear under your username on each of your posts. You can add or change these fields in your LSF profile, which can be accessed at:
http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/ucp.ph ... ofile_info
I'll entertain requests for other social networks that aren't named "facebook", and that seem to be a reasonable place for game development discussion.

Gamejolt, Patreon, Steam, and Epocu might be good options?

Whoo! Now I can get rid of the links in my sig
@Morhighan: Patreon is less of a social network and more of a fundraising platform (I also think most devs don't use it). This is also the first time I've heard of Epocu..! /googles it

Re: [ADMIN] LSF Profile: Social Network Fields
My thoughs:
Gamejolt is interesting enough, but I'm not sure there's enough discussion and releases going on there to make it worth a link. It seems redundant with the "completed" and "projects" fields.
Patreon is a funding site - I don't want to touch that, because I don't want to have to deal with the hassle that happens when money is involved.
Steam seems more about players that creators.
I don't get Epocu, but it seems to me to be more project-based than person-based. But I could be wrong.
G+ is another facebook - and I don't see a lot of vn/gamedev conversation on either.
For the 4 I added, we have two that were added for sheer utility (github and deviantart), and two that were added because I know there's interesting gamedev conversation going on there (twitter and tumblr). Github might actually be a bit borderline, but it's was added because (1) it's the best social network (2) it's useful for me to be able to match github ids on bug reports with forum users.

Re: [ADMIN] LSF Profile: Social Network Fields
Maybe wordpress, if possible? I know some people have dev blogs running there and such. Another good one could be reddit, as I'm pretty sure there's some conversations about visual novels over there.
What's in a loop? A loop iterated in any other way would output as sweet.

I think wordpress is ideally suited for the website field.
Reddit is cool, but I don't really follow people on reddit - I follow various subreddits.

Not really a social network, but I'd recommend adding a field for Skype. It's something I think a lot of people use here and it's definitely more relevant than AIM nowadays.

I've added skype.
I'm not sure about soundcloud - do people discuss things there?

Soundcloud is almost obligatory for composers these days, PyTom.
And yes, people can leave music comments.

Re: [ADMIN] LSF Profile: Social Network Fields
Not a social network, could a field for Discord be relevant? Along with itch.io? There are about 900 projects tagged Visual Novel.
