A Mystery Is My life(looking for artist for BG and CG

#1 Post by Shironeko »

My name is Justin, but my friends called me Shiro.

So I've been trying to make a vn for a few years now on and off with artist dropping on me and friends bailing on me, through no matter what it wouldn't stop me from trying to make one for too long and I'd end up trying again.

Lately I step up my writing skills with my new work in progress about a boy with Heterochromia iridum who was bullied at a young age due to the children seeing him as a monster or demon, though his father would always tell him he should take pride in it because it showed how special he really was.

He only had two friends if you could even call them that he saw them more as people he shared books that just happened to be kids of his old man's friends, because of the way he was treated at a young age he grew to have a strong sense of justice and was called the demon of justice once he became a tyrant known as student council president he ended up getting a way with a lot of stuff in his school because he had the teachers on his side being a star student and the teacher biggest ally at the time, there were times he even got in fist fights in self defense with gang members the teachers wouldn't even think of him putting him in trouble like they normally would, he was truly untouchable, that is til one fateful day that would change he forever he ended up losing left eye do to this incident and he refused to leave his home for years to come.

He would be 21 by the time he left his home after the incident, it was the day his father died he felt nothing, that was only natural, his relationship with him after the incident was almost nothing at all and that didn't help with the fact that his father disappearing to do the work he never really explained to his son, thoughts run through his head and he thought what could he have been doing all these years this would be the day he'd go and learn who his father really was, and who he, himself really were.

The story will deal with mystery, trust, and love in a different type of way, but I need someone to draw a dark room with books all over the floor and a desk with a laptop top on it, the outside of a mansion, the inside of a mansion, business room in the mansion, and a hallway in the mansion, and a few other backgrounds I might need to request later.

I just need someone who can do CG and maybe character art(in case someone bails on me again) on stand by at the moment.

If you end up replying know that I'm looking for people who want to be on a team we might end up making more visual novels after this one.

Your post is a little lacking in information: How much work (if any) have you already completed on your project? And how long do you want the final result to be?

I think you need a little more work on writing before getting an artist. Those run-on sentences make me cringe!

I already have an editor who is will to help me out with any errors I'm making while writing this story, so you don't have to worry about that.

No, the project has just started to move along since I've gotten my new artist and have started to rewrite my story over.
The final result will most likely be around 24 hours of gameplay if I end up keeping all the routes I had in mind, adding mini-games, and some extra stuff that will give will be mostly be some parodying of serious scenes.

I can't believe that whole first paragraph is just a single (run-on) sentence. :o :)

Kidding aside, your story is pretty interesting. :D I'm not an artist, so I can't help you with your request, but I would like to say that I wish you luck in finding some help. ^^ I would really love to see this project come to light! I look forward to playing this someday! :)

There is one thing that kinda bothers me, though. 24 hours of gameplay? That would be like... around 400,000-500,000 words, right? I believe Katawa Shoujo has around the same word count, and around the same hours of gameplay as well. That's... a really, really long game, unless of course, if you have lots of obtainables. :D For a first project, it seems a bit too bold of a move. Don't worry, though, I won't hold you back or anything. :D I just hope things will work out for you in the end. :)

Nevertheless, good luck on your project! ^^

I was counting the mini-games and extra add-on stuff.
Edit:sorry about the run on sentence I had to type it up quick at the time.
