Flicker must protect her family and her territory from the rival cat colony Hooktooth, a group of voracious cats seeking control over the entire Sect- and willing to use any means possible to gain it.
And then of course are the Darlings, a mysterious pair of cats with no affliations. They wear strange objects around their necks that clink when they perch on windowsills, and have foreign names. Are they friends or foes?
With these two potential threats at her back, will Flicker be able to rise to power and lead her comrades? Will she be able to make peace with the rival Hooktooth colony? Will she be able to find another cat to rule by her side? Will she be able to keep Pounce from eating the humans’ pet birds again?

One of the oldest colonies in the Sect, the Swiftpaw are a group of deft hunters and loyal protectors.
The colony is led by Tusk, a burly Tom with a great sense of duty and guidance. He leads alongside his frail mate, Gloss, who was rendered blind and infertile in a past brawl with the hateful leader of the rival Hooktooth colony, Maul.
As the pair were unable to have kittens, their only hope of continuing the Swiftpaw legacy is their charges, whom they’ve adopted into the colony, but their numbers are dwindling quickly. Their shrinking size leaves them and their territory vulnerable to invasion, making these cats immensely protective of one another. Gloss and Tuft love their charges like family, but two are aging quickly and must pass the torch soon.
Enter the charges. Flicker, Pounce, and Twitch, three cats adopted by Gloss as kittens, have been raised together and have fought together since they can remember. Next in line for the seat of Queen is bright-eyed Flicker, a young longhaired shecat who has proven herself to be an excellent leader and brilliant strategist under pressure. In order to keep the balance of leadership within the Swiftpaw colony, Flicker must soon choose a partner to lead by her side. The pickings seem slim though, with Pounce being a childish and rowdy troublemaker who won’t stop flirting with a Darling of all cats, and Twitch being aloof and distant when not on the hunt for food.
The vicious Hooktooth colony follows these cats like a ghost, and the threat of their subjugation is very real.
Will loyalty be enough for these cats to survive?

The Hooktooth colony is a colony of ill-tempered cats who are feral and vicious in nature. Their power-hungry leader, Maul, was a former member of the Swiftpaw colony. Bitter jealousy of her brother Tusk, however, drove her to abandon her members and form a colony of her own alongside her two mates, Snipe and Jeer, but not before insuring that Swiftpaw’s power would be forever crippled, maiming Tusk’s mate to the point of infertility and permanent blindness.
Snipe has sired two kittens with Maul, a pair of beautiful young cats named Flit and Chaw. Chaw, being the eldest, is next in line for power behind her ruthless mother, and is always strict and scolding to poor little Flit, who did not inherit the family bloodlust.
Jeer, brother to Snipe, has only fathered one kitten with Maul: Quirk, a cat with odd, perfectly split markings and a sharp mind. Like Flit, however, Quirk bears no particular thirst for power or dominance, and secretly seeks to escape the colony with little half-sister Flit.
Maul’s boiling hatred for her brother and his colony will drive her to the utmost extremes to usurp his power and invade his territory, and her wicked daughter shows no sign of surrender any time soon either.

Darlings

The Darlings are a pair of cats who live with a human owner. The other cats find them strange, as they seem to want nothing to do with hunting or gathering territory. They wear glimmering, pricey collars and always have beautifully groomed fur. Being purebred, they’re foreign to the other cats and the lives of the colonies.
One Darling in particular, Lisette, has caught the eye of Pounce of the Swiftpaw colony. Her silken, perfect fur and beautiful china blue eyes are trademarks of her Ragdoll heritage, and Pounce thinks she’s the loveliest cat he’s ever seen.
Rex, her arranged mate-to-be, sees Pounce as a pest, and tries to drive him away whenever he comes near her. Rex wants nothing more than a litter of beautiful purebred kittens from Lisette, but she is shy and reluctant toward the idea. He tries to keep a dignified demeanor, but he secretly fears Lisette’s distance and growing fondness for Pounce.
What role will this pair of pampered kitties play in the power struggle between the two colonies?

Flicker was raised alongside her pair of fellow adoptees, serious Twitch and rowdy Pounce. The way things are stacking up, Flicker could have to choose between either of them for a partner…but neither seem promising, with Twitch being aloof and distant and Pounce being reckless and irresponsible.
Flicker is the colony’s top strategist as well as the most intelligent of the bunch, winning Tusk’s favor and becoming the heir to the Swiftpaw’s highest position of leadership, the Queen. She assumes somewhat of a guardian position toward her fellow charges, particularly troublemaking Pounce, and will protect her family no matter the cost.
Gloss was once one of the most beautiful cats in the sect, lovely enough to rival even Lisette, but time and hardship has worn at her beauty. The blind cat has faced many struggles in her age, injured severely and rendered unable to bear kittens in a territory fight against Hooktooth leader Maul. Her belly is mottled with deep scars that no one, not even she, has ever seen.
The gentle cat loves her mate and her charges dearly, giving them advice and diligently observing them as they grow from afar.
Twitch was named for his bullet-like speed in combat and swift strength. He possesses somewhat of an authoritative demeanor over Pounce, often rebuking him for the frequent misdemeanors he causes. His criticisms almost always fall shy of Flicker, however, as he respects her as the leader-to-be and admires her intelligent. Twitch, however, is unafraid of giving her advice (while often rather terse).
Twitch prefers to use action rather than words to communicate, however, and is often distant from the rest of the clan and aloof, causing Tusk to bear a streak of mistrust toward him. He advises Flicker to keep a cautious eye on Twitch, and while it pains her to doubt her close comrade, she is dutiful and follow’s his command.
Twitch will be a romanceable character in the game <3!
He wins the favor and interest of Lisette when she mistakes him for a purebred Japanese Bobtail, when in reality, a portion of Pounce’s tail was torn off when he was clipped by a car as a kitten. The scent of blood and panicked mewls alerted Tusk, and Pounce was immediately taken in and cared for by the Swiftpaw colony.
Pounce is an incredible jumper, hence his name, using his short tail as a boon for precise landings and trajectory during the hunt.
While he can be troublesome, mischievous and irresponsible, you’ll never find a cat more loving and optimistic than purehearted Pounce.
Pounce will be a romanceable character in the game <3!
He was born into the Swiftpaw colony alongside his sister, Maul. His efficiency during the hunt acts of bravery outdid his sister’s intelligence, earning him place as the new Swiftpaw leader. This caused his sister, cunning and spiteful Maul, to become bitterly jealous of Tusk. Enraged, she split away from the colony to form the rival Hooktooth colony, but not before severely wounding Tusk’s mate, Gloss.
Tusk is a protective leader and wise cat, who will refuse to help no cat in need. He protects his mate and charges with his life, and will always look to do what’s best to guide and provide for them.
His legacy will be carried on the shoulders of Flicker.
She was arranged to be with her mate Rex, a fellow Ragdoll cat who is insistent that she bear his kittens so that their refined bloodline may continue, however Lisette is rather shy to the idea and feels that she has little in common with him. Her kind heart dislikes the idea of hurting him, however, and tries her best to entertain the idea of him as a suitor.
When Flicker helps Pounce in his attempts to visit Lisette, the cats form a bond that could potentially unite both aristrocrat and alleycat.
Lisette will be a romanceable character in the game!
Chaw seeks to kill Flicker before she has the chance to rise to power, leaving the Swiftpaw clan without a leader and helpless. Chaw is Maul's favorite child, and makes quite sure that Flit and half-brother Quirk know it.
When she wanders too far into Swiftpaw territory and encounters Flicker for the first time, she's actually quite frightened of her and pleads for her life. Seeing that she's still rather young, however, Flicker retracts her claws and decides to question her instead. Flicker warns her that she ought to be grateful that she was the one who found her instead of Twitch, a much less merciful cat.
Flit will be a romanceable character in the game!
Quirk often disappears to catch glimpses of Flicker in action or to go nap with Flit, and feels very little loyalty toward both his colony and his parents.
Secretly, he's scouting out a way for he and Flit to run away.
Quirk will be a romanceable character in the game!
Maul is incredibly intelligent and strong, making her a hard obstacle for the Swiftpaw clan to surmount.
