Ah, I was about to say that it reminds me of RPG-maker style games then I saw the download here ^_^
Looks really interesting. Will play it soon - most probably Thursday (hopefully). Really nice art.
Will tell you what I think after playing
Can't wait to play~~~~~

Code: Select all
RGSS-RTP Standard not found.
I keep getting this when I click to play the game. I didn't know which of the RTP downloads to install. Do you know how I can fix this? Coding and the like is not my forte! ...And I really want to play the game...T_T

Scroll down and when you see "Start by selecting your program." hit "RPG Maker XP" as the url link suggested then click on "Agree and download the RPG Maker XP RTP" to start downloading.
How to install RPG Maker XP RTP
1. Click on the link above to RPG Maker XP RTP.
2. Once the file has downloaded, double click on it.
3. Once setup for “RPG Maker XP Run Time Package” has started, follow the instructions that appear on the screen to advance. If no destination folder for “Run Time Package” is specified, simply click the “Next” button until the installation wizard completes its tasks

Re: Dear Mariko [Short Horror]
I've uploaded the latest version! Hopefully that fixes the bug. For now, either download the RTP from Alte's website above (thanks Alte!), or open the Game.ini file and remove the word "Standard" and nothing else - should work smoothly!

Re: Dear Mariko [Short Eerie Horror, Romance]
Hello! Congrats on the release <3
I liked the game a lot, but I realized what was happening from the moment she read the letter haha. I believe I read something like this in a creepypasta...?
I got the normal ending first, since I was so unsure of what to do D: I was like, "Oh, maybe something will happen when I leave the house." Welp, something did happen. The game ended. )
I got the bad ending next since I didn't take a knife D: Then I remembered that there's some cutlery thing in the kitchen thingy, and got the true ending! :>
Thank you for the nice game! :>I got the normal ending first, since I was so unsure of what to do D: I was like, "Oh, maybe something will happen when I leave the house." Welp, something did happen. The game ended. )

Really enjoyed this game! You've got me hooked on the rpg format. And, gosh, my heart skipped a beat when I suddenly heard the knock on the door!

Re: Dear Mariko [Short Eerie Horror, Romance]
I just finished playing through this! It was quite nice. I got the normal ending first and wasn't sure how to even trigger the other endings but I somehow managed to do it after some going back and forth. However, I think I missed the point? Even after getting the true ending, I was a bit confused @A@ Someone care to explain and help me? xD
I liked it anyway~

Haha, well that was pretty much the basis of the entire plot. I guess that's all it is for a 5-minute game. Glad you enjoyed it!Alera wrote:Ooooh, ok, that makes perfect sense now xD I feel a bit stupid-lol! But that's quite clever!Coren wrote:

Re: Dear Mariko [Short Eerie Horror, Romance]
So I played this little gem and found this to be quite enjoyable. The art is beautiful too, and when those red eyes flashed I literally jumped from my chair! Really nice use of sound effects! My only complaints is that it's really short! (And I wanna know what the guy really looks like...)
I love the little twist in the end... So we're not really Mariko, huh... Nice one, Coren! You got me yet once again!
Looking forward to see more games from you!Re: Dear Mariko [Short Eerie Horror, Romance]
Found it on the rpg maker site, and gosh, I loved it! Surely a great story. It kept me on edge... I am looking forward for more games from you... ^^
