Out of curiosity, do you use Sketchup to make your backgrounds, or what program do you use? Those look really, really gorgeous <3

The concept sounds awesome and I'm looking forward to see the completed character designs Wait, you're even doing music. How are you people so multi-talented while I struggle by my lonesome self with one skill, I shall never know ; v ; Anyway good luck!! The project looks really interesting so I can't wait to see this released.

And you are correct, I used Sketchup to 3D model the house; I have to thank the people who filled the Sketchup library with so many awesome pieces of furniture though (I had to resize most but the shapes stayed the same). Previously, I used AutoCAD to make the plans themselves. And for the record, I'm going to screentone them using a mix of Manga Studio and Photoshop.
(In fact, I made actual renders of this house that one can see here http://kowaikowia.tumblr.com/post/126660968846 but it wouldn't fit with my drawing style for characters.)

Haha! Well... I don't know if I'll have time to make the music to be honest. I'll be happy if I can release a demo with the first two arcs (before the routes split) within a month.

Oh wow this seems real interesting! Demon-hunter/sorceress protagonist sounds so cool. I really like Louisa's hair! THOSE BGS ARE BREATHTAKING. I HAD TO PAUSE AND GASP. And I really like the idea of a screen-toned VN! It kind of feels like an interactive comic book that way? There's also tons of endings and you're making your own music gosh! You're really a masochist putting a lot of effort into this! Good luck on your first game!! I look forward to more updates. *o*

Ah? That is strange, it's the exact same lineart at the exact same scale. o3o;
I'm gonna try to make them crispier. Not sure how to handle that.

Okay so I ended up changing the BG for the night scenes. I hope it looks somewhat better!

To change my mind from screentoning backgrounds, I worked a bit on the puzzles that will be popping here and there in game.
They are "simple" logic puzzles where you have to place six magic stones in the correct places in order to unlock the scenes afterward. They'll come with detailed enough optional hints to complete them (and a mini-tutorial the first time it pops up).

Ah don't worry, I'm just gonna dig something at some point. If I don't have the time to deal with this puzzle, I'll skip it; it's not that important in the storyline, just like I thought it'd be a nice addition.

And thank you! I'll dissect this later as I don't have much time for nano today. Although it seems to be for point and click system while I work with drag and drop. The tutorials I found in the cookbook either were too fuzzy for my newbie head to understand or didn't work because I probably did an error (but where?)... Still, I'll have a look at it later.
