From what I've read, it sounds like the only way to get on Steam is through Greenlight. For those who've passed that process:
1) Do you get a publisher's page?
2) Do you have to go through the whole greenlight process again in order to release future games?
Thank you in advance for the advice

1) No. If they click on the publishers name they see all the games they published, that's about it.
2) Yes. Every game needs a new Greenlight if you didnt go through a publisher. You can contact a publisher if you want to get on Steam without greenlight but they have to accept your game, and they will take a part of the profits.

Re: Publisher's Page on Steam
There are many ways to get on Steam without going through Greenlight, but the shortest and simplest answer is that you should either go through greenlight or go with a publisher who is already signed up and has app credits to spare. There are some benefits to working your way through the greenlight process - it can teach you a lot about marketing and how to fine-tune your approach, which will benefit your game in the long run.
You do not, at this point, have to pay the greenlight fees again for each game. You pay once to set up your account and can make greenlight listings for as many games as you like.

Re: Publisher's Page on Steam
See, I was wondering about this. So all small game publishers have to go through this process even if they have a tax code? This seems counter-intuitive for them.papillon wrote:There are many ways to get on Steam without going through Greenlight, but the shortest and simplest answer is that you should either go through greenlight or go with a publisher who is already signed up and has app credits to spare. What are the app credits for? Are you referring to the Greenlight $100 cost? Or something else?

Re: Publisher's Page on Steam
What would having a tax code have to do with it?
There's no "all" in what I've said. Not all games on Steam have to go through Greenlight, not even all small indie games, not even all small indie games by people who aren't currently selling on Steam. HOWEVER, if you are a newbie just starting out, it is better to assume that you need to go that route.

Something else having to do with Steam internals that I shouldn't really try to explain in too much detail for multiple reasons. Short, stupid, and wrong but good-enough-for-this-discussion explanation: think of it as having slots reserved for you on the store. if you have a slot you can put whatever you want in it.What are the app credits for?
