How do I move characters left and right instead of middle?
Say you have Alice and Bob.
To make Alice sprite appear left and Bob appear right, you type:

show alice at left
show bob at right


To move Alice from right to left, try:

show alice at right
show alice at left with move


To remove Bob from the scene, going from left to right, use:

show bob at left
hide bob with moveoutright


So it all boils down to these instructions:

show sprite at right/left/center
show sprite at right/left/center with move
hide sprite with moveoutright/moveoutleft/moveouttop/moveoutbottom


The remainder of your doubts will have to be solved by someone more experienced.

You have to define it as an image. Say you have Alice again, and her "mad" sprite is "alicemad.png"...

init:
image alicemadflip = im.Flip("alicemad.png", vertical=True)


Then you call it like this:

show alicemad
a 'Where are you, Bob?'
show alicemadflip
a 'WHERE. ARE. YOU?'

Due to this thread being moved to the Bigger Leagues (Ideas->WIP) I had to clean up my original post to make it look professional.

Hey, just saw the Tech help part of your project.

If you are trying to get only the character's head inside of the textbox, then I would recommend creating a separate image.

So you would have an image for full sprite, and a different image for just the head.
Then, you can use the same code that you have, except use the image for just the head.

Hope this helps out!

Edit: By the way, I really like the detail in the character faces!

In my perception, first glance and I see that the art style is relatively simple.
It's not vibrant colors and gradients. This leads to the next effect.

Within the next few milliseconds, my focus instinctively closes in on the character faces.
And I realize they are quite detailed! You seem to get the expressions just right.
These expressions give the characters good personality in my opinion.

So, I think you give a good level of detail to the faces. ^^

Are you planning on giving each of the characters different facial expressions?

Also, I think Mr. K looks the coolest. ^^

Glad to hear that your thoughts on the characters, especially Mr K :)

I'd like to give them different expressions (pending on skill/other artist's skills/timeline) because this will be a free edition. And if money is in the equation in the future, the whole VN shall be remastered in everything.

I enjoy the process of this VN :D hope we can push each other to make great VN!

Music prelim done. If you like your quality of music I suggest you don't listen to it. The Theme music is already on the opening post so I didn't re-post. I don't have a Musician besides myself, so it's all piano recording with potato camera, gonna re-mix with Reaper when I can.

Keeping the positive momentum up! :)

Next step is plot, which has 3-4K words :( but I know how it begins and ends and the twists in between :)

Navneta shall be Linear VN currently.
