Eighty people, either dead or missing.
Rumours of monsters that stalk their human prey in the mist-clad forest.
Moonlight is a gold mining town in trouble, and only The Falconers can help.

The Falconers: Moonlight is a supernatural thriller visual novel
set in the 19th Century West Coast of New Zealand.
Falconer, Cassandra Winter, is on her first mission.
Can she save the people of Moonlight from their plight?
Or will she disappear into the mist like so many others before her?

This sounds awesome :D

I really like everything you've got so far. The art is lovely, especially those backgrounds. Also, the CG sketches you have are looking really good, action-packed and full of punch!

Will definitely be keeping a keen on eye on progress.

Thank you! All the CG should be done with in a week or two for the preview. Then I will be able to replace the draft art assets with it. I'm looking forward to let the preview build out and get some feedback. :D

Wow this looks amazing I'm totally blown away by the art and the story. Everything just looks beautiful so far. The character themselves are interesting and I can't wait to see how the story unfolds :) BTW it definitely looks western

I agree that the art looks more 'western' than 'anime', however, I actually really like the artwork ^^

I look forward to hearing more about this project.

With current speed of progress, we do plan to have an exclusive Lemma Soft's closed alpha for the preview demo at the end of this month, just to make sure the build is all good across the board before we go public about this. So... おねがいします

What is your first impression on this project?
Promising. Will 3-4 hours be the expected amount of playtime for the demo? Or the finished gameplay? Can't wait :D

What is your expectation from this project?
I'll be honest, I actually don't really like the art in this project. But I grew to like it as I see more and more screenshots :> I don't really need to expect anything other than good , from what I can see, it seems like it have a lot of potential.

Art style look 'anime' or 'western' to you?
In one glance, it is clear to me that the art style looks western. I hope that was when you were planning for!

-P.S: From the Anime/Japan thread, thanks for giving me some heads-up on what to do in Japan! Appreciate it :>

That will be the playtime for the completed version. Demo would be around 20-30 minutes.

We spent quite sometime discussing on which direction we're going for with the art during the pre-production, and this is what we all agree with where we find it set well with the tone of the story. It's quite off from the norm you normally see, but we are willing to take a risk and see if it's a hit or miss to most VN readers. It's good to hear about your opinion, thanks! :D

-P.S: From the Anime/Japan thread, thanks for giving me some heads-up on what to do in Japan! Appreciate it :>

You're welcome. I had fun while in Japan, and looking forward to go back there again.

While waiting for closed alpha preview demo to drop on Monday, here is character art painting from our artist Ares. Featuring one of the soundtrack from the visual novel. Enjoy!

Artworks look great and the story is intriguing...

<Art style look 'anime' or 'western' to you?>
It looks like Western Anime to me - some elements reveal anime style, but overall mood is definetely Western. Honestly, I think it's for the best as this way you might avoid some VN clishe.

Best wishes on this project :)

Thanks for the feedback! We were worried about the art style at the beginning. As far as we know, it is not usually the style that often go well with current visual novel readers. After some discussion, we decided to take a plunge with current art as we haven't see this type often in the market, and it seem to fit better with the genre that we have. Will it pay off is something to be see at later date.
