Well that was cringey.

Anyway, loved this show, it was awesome! Though bf wasn't to impressed when I showed it to him and processed to break his heart (I then forced him to watch Maze Runner and broke him even more, and this was only on our 2nd datish thing. Lol, so evil).

I remember when I watched this anime (haven't seen any movie, though, do you guy recommend them?)

1st day: I watch the first episode. It feels promising, but I'm not very fond of the setting. I'm still interested for the design and such, so I'll keep an eye.

I watch the second episode. Meh... it's starting to be your usual magical girl series, I don't think I'll enjoy it... Well, I love the writer, so just one more chapter...

I watch the thirWHAT THE ACTUAL F***!? ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING ME!!? YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS!!!

2th day: I watch episodes 4 to 13 while squeeing like a teen. THIS. IS. AWESOME.
Artist and voice actor, trying to actually write stuff.

The music is by Yuki Kajiura, so I had an instant love for the show.
I really enjoyed the execution up until the end of the third movie, which we will not talk about because it crushed my imaginary soul.

I loved the original series. I was bawling by episode 3, mostly because
of Mami's untimely death
, and she was my favorite character by far...

As for the movies... well, I got spoiled way before I watched them, and so I never got around to watching it.

I can relate.
Mami
was my favorite character too.
Wait... she still is my favorite character.

Rebellion is well worth a watch, spoiler or not spoilers. It's just beautiful.
And some scenes are just glorious.
Homura and Mami fight is probably my favorite fight in any medium.
And the battle near the end is... just epic.
I have watched many times the serie and the movies. A few months ago I rewatched all the films.
Wonder what Shaft is doing. Seems that a sequel is in the works.

Oh, my. I remember being like that too. And then, on THE REVEAL,
changing the whole diirection of the series and even revealing the true protagonist is Homura,
was mind-boggling.

10/10 would watch again.
Still have to see the OVAs.
Yes, my english is awful. Deal with it.

It has been about a year since I watched Madoka Magika, and I honestly can't say I remember it too much. When I really like an anime I'll never forget how it made me feel, so I guess I didn't actually thought much of it? The only things I can really remember about it are that a lot of character arcs were predictable and that the ending felt a bit too wishfulilling. The most likely reason why? Probably this:
Actually, if you enjoy Madoka, I would recommend Princess Tutu - it's another eerie, unsettling magical girl anime, which plays around with and examines a lot of common tropes found in fairytales. And it's also my favourite anime of all time - everything about it, the animation and music especially, is gorgeous.
I don't think I'll ever love a Mahou Shoujo that much because I'll always compare it with Princess Tutu. It's definately in my top three of all times despite being nowhere near my taste. Madoka simply can't live up to Duck.

My review of princess Tutu: It's a show meant for 6-8 year old girls centered around ballet and it's so innocent that it will make Sailor moon look like an R-rated series with all of it's tentacle monsters. Princess Tutu literally dances with people to solve their problems and the first half of the series is pretty much that. I'm a 22 year old man and I'm the kind of man who thinks that the violence in Blood-C is funny (if you think Madoka Magika suddenly becomes dark and depressing...). The way I describe it, this show seems nothing for me, and normally it wouldn't be. However, this show is somehow so good that I'm currently rewatching it with a big smirk on my face because YES! Princess Tutu!
