I think it's also worth pointing out that both of these developers (which are two of the largest developers that have their "roots" on LSF) have their own separate community forums. If you want to talk about LLTQ, you can go to the
Hanako games community forums, and likewise, if you want to talk about any Winter Wolves game, you can
find a specific forum for that as well. I imagine this has the effect of causing their threads to get less discussion on LSF than they might otherwise, especially since each of their games has its own separate board, whereas on LSF each game tends to be condensed to a single thread.
VNDB popularity can be an interesting metric to look at. If you check
VNs tagged as "NaNoRenO" and sort by popularity, the top two titles (Digital: A Love Story and Don't Take it Personally Babe) are both Christine Love games. If you just look at
VNs that were originally written in English, the most popular ones excluding Nekopara are Katawa Shoujo, Go Go Nippon, Juniper's Knot, Analog: A Hate Story, and RE: Alistair.
