Summary
IsleX♥ is a desert island survival RPG where you play the role of a protagonist stranded on a desert island with a companion. The main goal is to survive until you achieve one of multiple secondary goals: escape the island, discover the island's secret, or fall in love with your companion.

I wanted to participate in NaNoRenO for a long time and the opportunity presented itself so here I am. My original plan for NaNoRenO was to create a tutorial route and the core systems (inventory, crafting, world map) so that I can build on the concept after the game jam is over. I only finished the basic inventory system in time though. Next year I think I might make a regular visual novel and focus more on story and art assets instead. Programming took too much time lol
In the current game only Day 1 of the tutorial is ""complete"". It's rushed and completely scripted. One day I hope to actually implemented everything missing: character creation (stats, skills, perks), select one out of multiple companions, starting items, different islands, etc. But it's going to take a while. This demo's playtime is around 5 minutes.
This topic acts as my proof of NaNoRenO 2017 participation (a big deal to me!) and in case anyone is interested.
