Repetition [Otome][Mystery]

[Desichan]

When Kira wakes up within an orphanage, she hardly knows what to expect.
The last few days are a bit foggy, and she can't help but wonder what's going on here.
As she befriends some of the other children, she begins to learn more about
the orphans, the orphanage, and even herself.


Kira
A young girl who, finding herself within an orphanage, tries to find some sort of meaning to her life.
Going along with her new friends, she wonders if she's just going through the motions.


Vaughan
An excessively friendly boy, who wants to help Kira in any way he can.
His optimism is at times mistaken for idiocy, but despite this, he has some knowledge that could prove very valuable.


Zane
Standoffish, and not the most friendly, Zane tries not to talk much to others.
He doesn't want to be at the orphanage, but he doubts he'll ever really get to leave.


???
Little is known about this colorful man, else than his enjoyment of bothering Kira.
He dresses very strangely, which leads others to wonder what's wrong with him...
His voice is very loud, people are likely to get a headache if they talk to him too much.


The Caretaker
Little is known about this man, except that he cares for the children in the orphanage.


This game is going to be relatively short, with four endings, but one main route.
I hope to be finished relatively soon with the game.

1. I feel like there is a huge twist in the end, and that this is all some sort of conspiracy. MAYBE THEY ARE ALL DEAD. MAYBE THEY ARE ALL ADULTS IN SOME KIND OF SIMULATED HALLUCINATION THAT MAKES THEM THINK THAT THEY ARE KIDS. my mind is allready running wild lmao;;;;;;;;;

2. You already know I like ??? alot. But I feel that Vaughan has a lot of hidden depth beneath his excessive agreeability.

3. I am particularly fond of stories with children as protagonist. This should be fun

So, I will tell you right off of the bat that your designs are so cute they just cured my headache.

1.) What do you expect to see in this game?
I can't help but feel that the title of this game "Repetition" could turn out to be important to the story. It really makes me think how Kira ended up in the orphanage and why Zane doubts he'll ever leave the place. Could they be stuck in a time loop? And what DO we know about that mysterious caretaker. Can we trust him? Or am I over analysing things. Hmmm....

2.) What characters appeal most to you?
There's just something about Vaughan's feline like smile and innocent expression that makes me root for him. But yeah... You had to throw in my only weakness. Effed up (in a good way) characters. Triple question mark kid. You sparked my interest. I wonder how his dialogue will turn out.

3.) Does the concept appeal to you?
Mystery. CHECK. Orphanage. CHECK. Intriguing characters. CHECK. Jep sounds good to me.

I do have one question though. If it isn't relevant at all you should just ignore it but I was curious about the age of the characters.

Oh of course! Kira is thirteen, Vaughan is twelve, Zane is fifteen, ??? is a mystery, lololol, and Caretaker is 37.

I don't know why but I just get that feeling since well, looking at ??? (which I love tbh ) I think that the orphanage hides a dark secret.

Definitely ??? and Vaughan! I love their designs SO much and I can't help but feel that Vaughan is hiding something, lol. I love characters like that! BUT ??? is just the type I'm always interested in so I immediately fell for him!
Also, Kira has such a cute design I can't help but squee at her cuteness!~

Yeah! I find the whole orphanage setting pretty interesting! And I really can't wait to find out why Kira found herself there in the first place.

2. Almost finished writing Rioa's whole route. (I have no clue how I got so much work done on this, omg)
3. Finally coded in some music, through Zane's route.

Overall, I think I made good progress this week, especially with having midterms and all. I intend to keep up the good work moving forward. >wOb

The title makes me suspect that there's a huge conspiracy going on somewhere, or something really trippy. I'm expecting this to be an interesting mystery!

I really like Vaughan, Zane and ????, haha. I really enjoy their designs, and they sound like a lot of fun! It's hard to choose one favorite ^_^;

Yup! The summary doesn't explain much, so I'm hoping to find out in the demo/full game
