Oh my goodness, the concept of this sounds so awesome. I adore mystery, and the idea of a detective who is afraid of blood is just so fantastic! I'm a little concerned about how it will go with the main character deceiving everyone else since those sorts of plots have never been my thing, but everything else about it sounds really good so I'm excited to try it out. I'm looking very forward to the demo!

Re: The Cold Case of Noella Bejerot - Free Demo Release and Kickstarter! [Mystery][Comedy]
Finally played the demo! It had its good points and bad points, but was overall a fun, if not exactly thought-provoking, romp through a detective department full of entertainingly silly characters. I got the rather distinct impression that it's intended to be playable for a younger audience than the usual point and click detective game; is that accurate?
For more detailed feedback, I think the strongest points would be the art and the concept. I love all of the (how many?!) position and expression changes for the sprites, and was so amazed that even the characters who appeared for the briefest amount of time on-screen had multiple expressions and poses, like the suspects. The concept of the lighthearted adventures of a hemophobic, easily distracted drop-out girl detective who somehow manages to get the cases solved while avoiding being discovered as legally completely unfit for the job by her coworkers has so much potential for hilarity.
The weakest point of the game would probably be the writing and to a lesser extent some of the instruction. The humour and characterization in the writing was great, but it definitely needed some proofreading. There were a lot of basic grammar/punctuation errors--not to the extent that it was really distracting, but it certainly made the game seem a lot less professional. My second complaint is mainly because being misled that you had to solve the case without forensics was a little mean to the players.
One last thing: is this game going to be free or commercial? It doesn't seem to be stated anywhere and that's definitely important info.
Overall, I'm definitely looking forward to this game releasing! It is a really fun diversion.
