I feel like I've been derelict in my duties somehow by not posting in the thread for a BxB game.
I've been following this since the beginning (congrats on your successful funding!), but my initial impressions of the game, before playing it, was a general disinterest? I have a hard time saying why that is, exactly, but Magiriano's comments above may be a bit of why: The incubi look different enough from humans (with the horns, maybe) that I just don't find them attractive, but they also look close enough to humans that I can't suspend disbelief in the right ways like I would be able to if they were more obviously animal-like or something... and not finding them attractive is problematic in a serious game about sex, and particularly where lust and desire *for* them is an important part of the story.
This wouldn't necessarily matter if at least one of the guys worked for me, but I actually find all of them, at least initially, to look extremely similar. (As someone who tends to take stricter definitions of yaoi and bara, this is arguably neither of those, which is fine, but it also just superficially feels a bit like four of the same thing.)
This isn't necessarily meant to be criticism of the game or art or your design decisions, because obviously plenty of others *do* find the guys attractive enough, but hopefully that conveys a bit of my initial mindset.
But I tried the latest demo (having not played the first demo), and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised in many ways.
You manage to set the personalities of each guy apart pretty well, and a lot of the non-con "turning" stuff that has been talked about in the thread seems to have been fixed. Importantly, I find the story interesting enough that I want to see what happens next, even if there were still a few things that I felt were confusing or out of place.
So, in that sense, your demo succeeds at what it should set out to do. Kudos for that.
Anyway, now I'm torn. The art is well drawn, but I strangely found that the sex scenes actually drew me *out* of the plot. Not sure if it was my initial reservations, the writing, or something else.
Regardless I do think you have something special here, and the story might be enough to bring me back.
And hey, more BxB in the world can only be a good thing, so thank you for that, at least.
