Looking For Free Artists

#1 Post by GaijinGojira »

I've been playing with the idea of creating a visual novel called School of Sorrow for some time, but lately I've decided that I need to get to work. I'm looking for character and gui artists that will work for free, making the game at a casual pace with no set release date. I've already started making some possible scripts for the game, but I'd like to add the art in soon. If you want to help with this fun project, please let me know!

I think it would be better, and appropriate to share what the visual novel will be about, to generate some interest! We can't decide for ourselves if it is fun or not, no offense intended as I am sure that there are many who would love your idea if you can elaborate it more, but everyone's personal preference is different, so sharing what it is all about will really help you get the attention you need.

Also, a suggestion from a slightly-experience visual novel developer as myself, having no set release date is almost always a ticket to never getting the game published at all (which also ALMOST happened to me, before I took over that project). You can always make the game at a casual pace like me and my team do, but we do have a set release date which is January of next year (comfortable, but the goal is there for everyone to push themselves). We can help each other reach that timeline and finish the assets with a deadline in our heads that isn't too hard, but progress is guaranteed that way.

I sincerely wish you the best of luck!

Also, forum rules require that if you wish to recruit people here, you need to reveal at least a few details about your project, such as the main plot and background, and the estimated size (such as the planned number of required art and music assets, or length in words of text).

Please make the necessary changes.
