Three Cheers for PyTom!
I just wanted to give a quick THANK YOU to PyTom for his long-term, quality, responsive work on Ren'Py. Not only is it what enables all of us to make our games, but he continues to add new features, gives support, and is even nice about it! And he does it all for free! (Though, you can always be a Patron on Patreon if you want to support Ren'Py with money.)
I've watched many open source projects languish or devolve into bickering over the years and am so happy that instead Ren'Py continues to improve and evolve along with changing technology, with Android, iOS, Steam support, etc.
So let's hear it for PyTom!!

Hear, Hear!
I may not use Renpy, but the amount of creators PyTom is able to bring together is amazing! Without Renpy, I don't think the OELVN community would be where it is today.

Re: Three Cheers for PyTom!
I started using Ren'py when I was living in poverty. The fact that it was free and open allowed me to learn so much. I would not now be working in my dream job in games without Ren'py. Thank you PyTom - the giver of wishes.

Re: Three Cheers for PyTom!
I make sure to thank him in the credits screen of all my games because what he is doing is simply amazing. I've seen COMMERCIAL engine project being less updated/debugged/supported than Ren'Py!

Re: Three Cheers for PyTom!
I'm convinced there are multiple PyToms running around at this point. Not sure how one person is able to work on RenPy, this forum, the games database, Patreon articles...

...and attending conventions and hosting workshops.
The best reason to get up in the morning is to outdo yourself: to do it better than you've ever done it before. But if you haven't done it better by nightfall... look at your globe and pick a spot: it's always morning somewhere.
