This heat...! 40°C?!
Seriously weather, cut that out. I can't think when it's this hot.
I'd hate to imagine what it's going to be line in July, if it's already this hot in June

Come to think of it.. it's always around this time of the year that we get plagued with black-outs..

England also hasn't invented air conditioning, so the summer can still be annoying...

Then come here, to my country.
Since we have tropical climate, there are only two seasons: dry and rainy.
The day never get too hot and the night never get too cold. The highest temperature in my city is probably 28-30 C and the coldest is about 18-20 C.

Now, since I've been dreaming working in Japan, I wonder if I can manage to bear its harsh 4 seasons (especially in summer and winter)?

Summer appears to have kicked in for a few days here in sunny old England. I always find it a bit too hot at these times. But never fear! For when I go outside, I have one of teh greatest inventions known to mankind...

Indonesia's weather is soo weird these days, LoL.

In the middle of the day the temperature reach 30 celcius.
In the afternoon it rains the tempreature drops suddenly.

Or the opposite,

At night the temperature reach 25 celcius.
While in the daytime it's soo cold!

We only have two seasons here, the wet season and the dry season.
Actually this is the wet season.

It's more that we just don't put it in homes. Offices, shops, trains and so on are nearly all air-conditioned, as are most modern cars, but it's pretty rare to have it in houses. Primarily, I think, because to do it properly you need to build it into the house in the first place, and we don't tend to go for the whole knock-it-down-and-rebuild-it-every-thirty-years cycle the US seems to. And, you know, most of the year round heating is more important than cooling, and water-based radiators are cheaper. ;-)

(I managed to schedule my motorcycle refresher course for Sunday, which was then promptly one of the hottest days of the year so far, which I then spent four or five hours of in thick protective clothing... :/ )

Aha! But the fan is actually quite small (but still large enough to generate a nice breeze), and I have short hair which means it doesn't get caught!

yup, air conditioning in the home is probably just not worth the money, the last 2 or so days have been hot for england and a single cheap fan kept the room cool.

If you work out enough in a place that's over 100 degrees Fahrenheit (rather than a place that feels like one), you'll adapt fairly quickly. From experience, this tends to mean plenty of sweating and severe faitness.

Admittedly a fan is enough to keep things pleasant when I'm awake. I mostly sulk because I keep odd hours - I go to bed just before dawn, when it's cool and it would feel silly to have the fan going, but it quickly gets hotter and wakes me up mid-morning, possibly with unpleasant dreams in the process. So I get cranky.

I'm native to an area of much higher heat and humidity, but that doesn't make sleeping in the heat any easier for me.
