[OPEN] Eastbound Stars: The Drowning Halls - UI PROGRAMMERS, ARTISTS, SITE HOSTING, AND MUSICIANS NEEDED

Hello everybody, I am Lisa Mc.Rad and for the last few months my team has been working on a point and click RPG hybrid. This game is Eastbound Stars: The Drowning Halls, a game which takes place in the Eastbound Stars universe. This game takes place before the main events of the story, as the player assumes the role of a player character who is trapped inside of the Drowning Halls incident. The game's art-style takes inspiration from PC-98 games and the blend of pixel art and early 90's anime. Right now we're a very small team consisting of me, another programmer, two composers, and one single artist. Currently we are looking to bring on board more artists, but we are accepting more programmers and (maybe) more musicians as well.

For programmers, we are looking for people to help out with the UI design. I will help to guide you in any way possible as time goes on. We're hoping to get development done as quickly as possible, so we would really appreciate the help from you.

Artists are expected to be able to grasp the style of the PC-98 and be comfortable working in a set style that may not be their own.

Musicians will be working with me on making music that matches the tone of certain situations.

There are a few requirements that must be in your application (which you should DM to me, since I am going to use this thread to answer any questions):
1. Resume or any sort of previous work you have done
2. A link to any social media that you have

We want to assure that our staff is full of people who are accepting of POC and LGBT, we will reject you if you can't adhere to these rules

We do pay as well, which you can discuss in our DMs... note that we may not be able to pay up front due to budget constraints... we do promise to pay off any labor that is performed if you wish to provide services before you recieve payment.

Hi there, can I still apply for BG artist role?
I've done anime VN BGs but I believe I can do the style you need, I get the basic Idea how.



I attached my latest art I'm working on, but here is the link (https://gdenus1.wixsite.com/vn-backgrounds/page) of BG works in my website excluding my current project. I can do both semi-realism BG or anime BG if you want.

Also btw, I create my BG in 3D as well before coloring and rendering with Photoshop/sai. This way, I can offer a deal in doing other perspective and version of the scene. Just wanna let you know just in case you'd need something like that.

I mostly do upfront payment (50% on creating linearts, 50% after color and rendering), but a mixture of up-front and rev-share is possible.

For character arts, i had work on story app before. For Immediate sample, please see some story trailer art I made.

Hi, what do you mean by hosting options exactly? Do you need your own static website for your team and for downloads, are you looking at also using another online store (itch, steam), do you need a website with the ability to sell things, etc.?

Depending on how complicated it is I might be able to help. I've been making websites for a hobby for about 14 years now.

Depending on how complicated it is I might be able to help. I've been making websites for a hobby for about 14 years now.

We're thinking about having a website to host all of the related Eastbound Stars material that we have so far. Things like webcomics, character bios, etc. We're already aiming for a release on itch.io and Steam, so I don't think that alot of effort should be made on hosting sales on our own website.
