facial guidelines. Is this making him ugly or handsome?
I've been staring at this picture for a long time. I need fresh eyes. 1 or 2? I'd like to know which one looks correct or more attractive and why. Please tell me what you see. Be blunt if you have to, I can take it.

proportionally, 1 is correct because his ears are in line with eyes and nose. Number 2 is like seeing the character from above because the ears position is higher than eyes. It all depends on your preference in the end, 2 looks cuter because his face is shorter while 1 looks more ikemen. If you prefer number 2, you're gonna have to fix the ears but other than that, it looks pretty good.

With 3 I lowered his ears and slightly lower his nose and slightly moved his eyes up to kinda meet in the middle of 1 and 2. If anyone has any other suggestions about his appearance, I'd love to know.

You're officially at the point in the latest revision where the difference is pretty negligible and I feel like they both look fine. My gut reaction is stick with 2, but I find myself flip flopping a bit... I feel like with 3 you lose a bit of cheek/chin definition where the skin tone of the ear and face kind of blend together. I think with the perspective I'm interpreting from it ('facing forward but slightly down') the initial ear positioning was fine, but the new one reads as a little low since it's kind of at a tangent with the jawline.
Also, I like where you landed on the facial shading.

Number 3 is fine. Head is a bit bigger for normal proportion but if it's your style and preference, then go for it. A suggestion based on Autumnotopia's comment, the jawline is not too visible because the color is very similar with the ear so I suggest you make the ear a bit darker.

I might try something between look 2 and 3 with darker ears and see how I like it then. Thanks for the replies.
