[paid] looking to write a unique soundtrack for your game (and potentially more)

#1 Post by caryoscelus »

Hi there,

Once trying to make my own VN projects, but never having completed anything beyond miniatures (i'm still hoping to return some day though), i'm now looking to work on other's free culture projects. Generally looking for paid work, but if i really like what you're doing i might be interested in joining for free. Please note: i'm not giving out exclusive rights over my music and per individual agreement it will be at some point released under cc-by-sa license.

Music

i've made a music showreel recently: https://tube.tchncs.de/w/mDzvgCiiuFKuXtFwPZH9uM. While it cannot give full understanding of things i do, it's a short and convenient way to check out the variety of sounds.

I work in variety of styles (though having recently discovered noise, i'm mostly doing that now) and while i generally prefer something weird and experimental, i can also do "normal" stuff. I generally don't do vocals and rarely use live instruments (though i tend to do a lot of "field recordings" recently). I'm only using free/libre software and libre samples and i'd be happy to share sources, should you need them.

All of my released music is published on 0net, though most of it is also available on bandcamp. Third album (sounds of ludum) specifically consists of music made for video games (though it's a bit dated). If you're looking into specific style, feel free to ask if i can do it.

Video editing

I don't have as much experience, but i've edited a video or two. Not really actively looking in that direction at the moment

Other

I can do other things as well (e.g. translating and other text-related things, programming), but music is something i'd prefer doing now — not sure i'll have time for everything else.

update: most of my music is now available at perhaps more accessible to most https://caryoscelus.bandcamp.com/ . sounds of ludum is an album consisting specifically of my (rather dated) soundtrack music . also i don't really have time for unpaid projects anymore

I never worked with synth vocals, but i'll see what i can do. I'm somewhat busy finishing my next album and stuff at the moment, but i'll try playing around with that style and let you know ;)

I have my contacts listed at https://caryoscelus.github.io/contacts/

updates : i've extended my music vocabulary with various ambient music , piano improvisations as well as remixes . and perhaps most interesting , i now have a short music showreel . commission conditions have changed slightly too : i'm willing to work on soundtrack for any project , but i will retain rights of publishing it under libre license (cc-by-sa) (release time is negotiable)
