Picking A Game Name

#1 Post by verysunshine »

My newest project isn't in a state to be shown yet. It's going to be a bigger project, so I've been more focused on getting the image right. That involves finding a really good title.

The temporary name I used is "Pixel Place", which sounds like a Picross knockoff. I've come up with a few titles that I thought would be perfect until I looked them up. Turns out they're both porn sites.

I know I don't have to have a title for a long time. Do you guys have any title advice? Should I make a poll with a series of options?

Build the basics first, then add all the fun bits.

Players solve a mystery using an interactive website for girls. It's set in 2005.

It's probably going to be hard for anyone else to come up with specific title suggestions based on just that general concept, but it sounds to me like looking into some internet slang and other things that were popular online in the early 2000s might give you some ideas. You could make the title some kind of reference to the way people talked then or the kind of sites that were common.

But also, it's totally fine to have a working title that might change later in the early stages of your project. Maybe you'll get inspired once you have some more detail.
