My name's Ophélie, but i like to go with the name of Arphedia on forums :D
I'm a 23yo French gal that hopes making some Renpy games for fun.
I do love to code, write stories and draw and i thought that making Visual Novel was the exact passion i needed

So if you wanna know a little more about me :
I'm currently in college, specialisation computer science but i still do a lot of mistakes...
I'm mostly here to use the Renpy section for my maaany errors, but i do hope that when i'll be a little more confident with the software, i'll help people too

Thanks to you, you, the kind person that read this, and I wish you'll have a lovely afternoon !

Hi, All!

My name is Sam!

I work as a translation project manager and am also doing an online business degree while trying to write and work on visual novels. My dream is to work in games localization, but I have a few stories inside me that want to get out, so I figured I might as well make my own games!
I live in the US and have been studying Japanese for a few years, but still have a lot to learn.

If you're on Twitter you can find my personal account @Garbochii and my newly-created game dev account, @GarbochiiGames!

Hello everyone!

My name is Luke, currently living in NYC. I've been a lurker here for a few years now but it's probably time to say hello. Unfortunately with the world being what it is right now I've lost access to a lot of the in-person circles I'd rely on for writing advice, so that brings me back here. Just this spring I finished writing my first complete full-length visual novel script, which was a pretty fascinating experience. Happy to help other writers figure things out, and I'll probably need to do some recruiting myself if I want to publish a complete VN.

Hello guys.
My name is Emily, I'm 20 years old.
I'm just getting started making games in Renpy. I would like to learn to code, hope to learn a few things in this forum. I have already created one simple adventure game, now it's time for more projects :)

My name online is Rinzai Gigen.

I have been using Ren'py for two months.

I was largely responsible for the conception and success of the TouHou fan game Pirates of Gensokyo, as well as its successor, The Quest for the Heart of Alice Margatroid.

Enclosed are the links:

I tend to enjoy Chess, Trivia, Music, Film, Television, Reading, Philosophy, and Games of many kinds, especially Puzzle Platformers and Point-and-Click Adventures.

I can also be a "stickler for justice", especially when faced with absurd bureaucracies or mindless social trends.

Hit me up for an incisive discussion.

I will keep this up to date to include progress on my full-length debut.

Hi there!

I'm Ashe, and I currently live in Australia.

I'm mostly a writer and proofreader; my strengths lie in editing/beta-reading (particularly fine details such as sentence structure and word choice), and in character development/backstory. I'm also learning how to code with Python!

Some of my interests include astrophysics, creative writing (duh), CCGs, and reading! My favourite genres are cyberpunk, sci-fi, horror, mystery, and 'death game'. My favourite VNs include Higurashi, the Zero Escape series, Danganronpa, and DDLC.

I haven't got a lot of experience working on VNs beyond one project which I was a character/dialogue writer for (Danganronpa: XL), which unfortunately fell through. I'm certainly hoping to learn a lot and get to work on some projects, though!

Nice to meet you all!

Name: Empress Blue

Location: From the not so lovely United Kingdom :D

Website: If my Twitter counts, here it is.

In terms of my work, I do a lot of SFW voice acting, but I've starting to get into ASMR and NSFW voice acting under this name. I'm also working casually on my own visual novel, just planning and writing it atm. But I hope to get more experience here ^_^

Comments about Lemma Soft: The forum was very useful even before I registered... Looking forward to learning to do more with Ren'Py having discovered it only a couple of years ago.

General introductory stuff:
I took a long break from Ren'Py after getting frustrated over not being able to figure something out, but I've been larking about again over the last couple of months. Got plenty of time to get back into it now, as I'm currently out of work... Though that's as much to do with my job role becoming increasingly redundant in my field as it is to do with 2020 generally being a bit of a dumpster fire.

I'm a huge fan of the Visual Novel form - even before I knew there was a name for such things, I was designing graphics for similar-styled adventure games I dreamed up as a hobby in my youth, starting on the ZX Spectrum, them moving onto the Commodore Amiga. I think my main source of inspiration back then was Cinemaware's "It Came From the Desert".

More recently, albeit still more than a decade ago, I was part of an online writing group (Fantasy genre) which disbanded after one of its founders died. I really enjoyed coming up with characters and situations to throw them into, as well as occasionally teaming up with other members to write joint narratives.

Finding that it's possible to create Visual Novels via software like Ren'Py was awesome and eye-opening for me, as it combines two of the things I love - writing and drawing - and enables the creation of all kinds of things, limited only by one's imagination.

...Mind you, I say I love writing, but I've barely done any (what I would call) 'real' writing since the days of that writing group - even gave up on my personal blog back in '16... And I say I love drawing, but I've barely picked up a pencil in years, so it's been a bit of a struggle to convince myself I'm still capable of either.

Started a new project based around a character created by my girlfriend for a game of Vampire: The Masquerade, set up by one of her friends, which we were playing via Google Meets. The narrative/dialogue part went pretty smoothly - though I still keep thinking of more bits to add - so I'm trying to focus on the visuals now.

I've always been better at starting projects than finishing them, but I have a pretty clear idea of what I want to do with this one, and it's intentionally quite short, so I'm determined to complete it. Just need to beat back the angst and get on with it. If I can make a go of this, there are many more stories I'd like to tell in VN format.
As ever, dropping litter in the zen garden of your mind...

Hello!

I'm Alexis (going by Ax right now) and I use they/them pronouns and I'm 26. I'm new to game writing but have a lot of experience in fiction/poetry/creative non-fic and even some playwrighting. Really got into visual novels after playing Butterfly Soup and just trying to learn as much as I can and create some things along the way! As a black autistic creator, I want to create more work that centers people like me. Really nice to be in community with you all.

My itch is https://dangerlove12.itch.io and that has links to my portfolio and Twitter as well.
