Archiving fonts

#1 Post by jack_norton »

I ran the archiving tool, but somehow it doesn't work with fonts. I can archive everything (jpg, png, ogg files) except fonts. Is this normal or is a bug?

It's a bug, but at a lower level than I can solve myself. Fonts are the only filetype for which this is a problem, currently.

Cool. Would be nice to have a single file archive with everything inside it.

Is it something like not being able to instantiate a font from a memory file? If that's the case why not have the font saved to a file in the local game directory the first time it is needed? Doing so would allow the archive to still transport the game as a whole but provide a workaround for the problem of fonts having to open from a physical file.
