[SOLVED] renpy.variant("steam_deck") not working in 8.1.3?

Hello,

I've updated to Ren'Py 8.1.3 (previously on 7.6.3) and I've noticed "renpy.variant("steam_deck")" appears to be getting ignored now. It could be something else, but this update is the biggest change I've recently made. Just wanted to check if anyone else has noticed this or if this code is out of date for Ren'Py 8?

Confirmed. I made a new build for Steam Deck with 7.6.3 and renpy.variant("steam_deck") works.

Can you tell if Steam is installed in your Ren'Py 8.1 install? It's not by default.

I can't tell but this is likely the problem. I'll update and test it out on my Steam Deck when I get chance :)

I've just tested a new build on Steam Deck using 8.1.3 and you are right, Steam was not installed. It works now :) Thanks for the help as always PyTom!
