Memory profiler error, Renpy 7.3.5

I'm working on a mod for a Renpy game built on 7.3.5.606 and I've been dealing with out of memory errors and a potential memory leak. I'm trying to diagnose it, but the built-in Renpy memory profiler doesn't give me any output. I've attached a log using $renpy.profile_memory(0.2), the higher the percentage I try to run it with the longer it takes before giving me a blank "MemoryError:" error, and >0.5 it will just hang indefinitely even if allowed to run for 12+ hours. The memory.txt in the .exe folder does show up, but it's just a blank file with no output. I've asked a couple friends with the game installed (without my mod) to try running the profiler with identical results.

Is this a Renpy 7.3.5 issue, a game size issue, or is something else at play that's preventing me from being able to profile it correctly?

7.3.5 is too old to support at this point.

I believe there have been fixes.
