I'd like to build my own visual novels, i'd like to create something with the graphic settings like awam (a wife and mother visual novel) with the graphic in 3d and 3d environments but i can't understand/find the way to build the environments... i buyed character creator 3 and iclone 7 and i managed to learn how to create the characters with the renders for the characters... but how to create/make the environments? with programs should i use? where can i find some tutorial/material to learn it myself? i googled untill exaustion but didn't find anything that's not spam. tx in advance to all kind ansere!
ps: i managed to create my first work... its awfull, short, terrible... but hey it's just my first work! considering i know nothing at all about:
1) programming
2) building renders
3) python and so on
i'm a musician, not a painter nor a programmer. sorry for my awfull english, another thing i don't know for sure...

Re: How to make renders for a visual novel
One way to make 3D backgrounds is in Blender, which is a bit hard to use but free: https://www.blender.org/ There are many Blender introduction tutorials on youtube.
There are many free/cheap 3D scenes on Sketchfab which can be imported into Blender: https://sketchfab.com/
I just posted a tutorial on how I use Blender to make 3D backgrounds. It's a bit complicated, but does show what Blender can do viewtopic.php?t=67705
Another program people use is Sketchup, though this has gotten more expensive to use recently https://www.sketchup.com/
I think you could probably also use the Unreal Engine, which is free, and works well with Sketchfab models https://www.unrealengine.com/en-US
EDIT: Haha oops just realised this post is from several years ago! Well, maybe someone will find my reply useful >.>

Thanks for posting. I'm a DAZ Studio user, and Blender is usually my second option. Your tutorial is very well done and very useful. Thanks a lot.
No, sorry! You must be mistaking me for someone else.
