My images aren't showing up

Hey guys, new to the forums so probably a noob question, but couldn't find an answer in FAQs

Whenever I upload an image as part of my signature, it doesn't display, just shows a broken image icon. I'm using the right BBcode. Any ideas why?

Either you use an image-hoster and link the image to it with the img bb-code or you attach an image as an attachment and link it with the img bb-code, but the latter is also displayed as attachment/filename.
