Okimoani // Murder Mystery, Horror, Suspense

#1 Post by Jaymer »

Second Project WiP~

Well, I got this idea from watch a video in my science class the other day.

Plot:
The story revolves around a small country town in the middle of Africa called Obiajula. A family moves there from America because the Father is in the army. Kyle and Jill, the protagonists, lead a normal life until one of the townsmen drown to death and the skin is torn from her body. The priest at the church the family go to tells them of a religious being known as Okimoani that is said to slay all the humans of Obiajula for treachry from past events. Kyle believes that these events can be explained scientificly, but Jill believes that Okimoani exists and accepts her fate.

Never would I have ever dreamt to see an English game set in Africa, with a Japanese title, written by someone in Australia. That aside...

How old are Kyle and Jill?

Will you be doing all or most of the art for this yourself?

For completeness's sake, I feel that they should drive a German car. :-)

Why is the title in Japanese? Does the rest of the game have anything to do with Japanese? If not, I think it would make more sense to have it in African or English.

So you got the idea from a science class doc, huh... What kind of doc were you watching? Never mind, it'll probably spoil a little of the game... or not?

Well, good luck researching African food, culture, folklore, fauna, flora, whatnot... And I'm saying this because I think I can see pines in the main menu. :shock:

XDDDDDD
Thanks mate~
Well... I can't tell you the docco because it'll give the WHOLE plot line away >__>;;
Now, I have a question:
I want to put the game into 2 parts. But!! I am thinking of putting the two together/two in one.
What'd y'all think?

Err, I think you have to update your "Projects" details under your avatar... Still says Ekibyou...

I don't see why you can't split the game into two arcs. But I don't really know about the plot, so I probably shouldn't talk...

Well... I am playing on:
splitting it into two arcs: One is a fantasy and one is reality. Like Kyle and Jill's thoughts on the situation.
I just want to do it so that Arc One and Two are seperate buttons on the main menu and when you finish Arc One it unlocks Arc Two... you know? >__>;;

My thoughts:
Playing through arc one might spoil arc two if it's like that... How about you just switch between the two? Like, this chapter is Jill, that chapter is gonna be in Kyle's POV...
:laughs: First time I typed this post I pressed "K" instead of "J."

lolohshi-
Well... what I mean is:
kinda like one is a question arc and the other is an answer arc. Still with murders and what not but... different. Like an alternate reality, kinda.
lol Kill and Kyle.
Like Higurashi... kinda?
