If you're making a .odt, you're probably using openoffice. If that's the case, you should be able to just export it as a pdf... at least for me, there's a single button on the toolbar that does it.

No seriously, PDF is the cross-platform industry standard for layouted text and you'd be a fool for not using it. There are tons of free ways to make a good PDF, and you can spare yourself offering both odt and doc in exchange. And reading text from a bitmap image... just no.

Oh... Sweet, I didn't know it could do that. That makes things much easier for me.
I'm wondering...
would it be too much of a hassle to have your artist do just the sketches for the art and have one or two other artists do the inking and coloring?
I dunno how much people are going to care after all the crap that's happened up to this point, but I have two bad news and two good news.
The bad news:
After flopping miserabily, yes, we have decided to scrap the light novel project
And yes, after careful consideration, it has been decided that it would be for the best if Sixten and I parted ways
The good news:
I don't have anything else to work on, so I guess I'll be making the visual novel by myself now
All the characters will now FINALLY have their boobs back now that I'm in chage!!!!!!!! Haruhi be praised, it is SO good to finally have 100% creative control again!!!!!!!!!
Well, I'm pretty sure most people are going to be pertty skeptical whether this project will ever see the light of day after the crapstorm it just went through. As a matter of fact, I don't even know if I'll be able to finish it by myself. All I know is that I (a) Like writing stories about moe mecha operators, and (b) Like drawing moe mecha operators, so I'll just keep doing the same stuff I usually do. I dunno if it's gonna ever be finished, but I'll post pictures here every now and then for your viewing enjoyment.
I think it might be a little early to write off the light novel project after just one volume? But if that's how you feel about it, then I guess there's not much to be done....
Good luck with your next projects!
No more delicious pettan? Yes, it really is a shame.
That aside, glad to hear things are starting to turn for the better for the VN. If this goes well, maybe you could throw in some supplemental stories in the light novel format after the release.
For my next project I'm going to need a working toilet, a pair of pliers, a jar of cheez-whiz spread, 100 q-tips, a TV remote, a gearshift lever and a whole lot of duct tape. This is gonna be awesome.
