How utterly charming! I love the simple style with the watercolour look.
Don't worry, we can get through it together. I didn't forget about you! I just got overwhelmed.

It's fine to make artsy looking games and all, but this is not what entertains people!

Thanks JinzouTamashii, :) I drew it gouache!

tamashiinorefuran, ugly.

I agree that the drawing in games not the most important thing, is more important a plot. But the drawing transfers atmosphere and it too for me is important.

^___^ Спасибо DanOrgan, очень здорово что прочувствовался этот "русский дух"!
Как раз задумывалось сделать именно русское, потому что этого по-моему немного не хватало)))

Folks, if you're going to communicate in another language, that's fine... but please provide an English-language synopsis for the rest of us.

You painted them yourself like this? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gouache

When I see it, I imagine a fairy tale and I wonder what it's all about.

I apologise, PyTom and others.

We said that in this game there is a Russian style. To me it is very pleasant that it has noticed DanOrgan.
Now there are not enough games in such style. I consider that them should be more.

JinzouTamashii, :) yes I drew itself approximately such paints as( zxkguashe.jpg)... And still led round the black handle when will dry up. But I not the artist, and simply like to draw.

Well, I will tell. :)
The tsar wished to marry the daughter to the one who will construct the flying ship. But it was constructed by simple rural guy Ivan for whom it is necessary to play. But the tsar does not wish to give out the daughter for Ivan and starts to think of different riddles. If it will be not not gained by friends whom it can find on road there will be a bad end.

Sounds really interesting. You must be talking about this. I really enjoy the Russian tale "The Firebird" as well and anything with rsulkas.

I've always wanted to retell kitsune tales that my mother would read to me when I was a child, or something like the tongue-cut sparrow or tamamonomae in a modern style. Some of them have been retold many times, but there is always room for another interpretation... since the stories expand and change with each retelling.

You correctly have found this fairy tale, it it and is! :)

I too very much like a fairy tale about "The Firebird"(Жар-птица)! ^_^

Yes, of course, :) the fairy tale about the Flying ship too has been told many times. I read different books with this fairy tale. I very much was surprised, because even in books this same fairy tale differently, even with the different ends is written. And still there is a good Russian cartoon film on this fairy tale. I have made game how I see it in own way, but thus tried not to depart from the book. Many texts are taken directly from books.

(゚▽゚;) Don't feed the trolls...

AnnTenna: Are you making the different choices from different retellings of the same story or imagining some of your own too?

Yes, I did the different choices from different retellings of the same story. In books, for example was two happy-ends - in one Ivan married a tsarevna, and in other has banished the tsar and began to correct a kingdom. And yet in all fairy tales there was an old man with straw. I realised it in game. :)
But also I something have added, for example, bad endings :D . In a fairy tale Ivan takes all these characters on road, and in game it is possible to take them, and it is possible not to take. And then it is possible to choose, to whom to carry out the task. If the task is not executed, the end bad.
