#1 Post by Coatl »

So we all have a favorite Rhythm game once a while, something that combines Music and Fun.

So tell me, what is you favorite Rhythm Games?

Here's mine:

PaRappa the Rapper. (a classic childhood memory)

GuitarooMan

Rock Band

and in my wishlist, I want to try out DJ Hero.

Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan is definitely my favourite.

Haven't played the sequel, though - I bought it months ago, but have been too busy to play ;_;

I enjoy DanceDanceRevolution / Dancing Stage! a lot, even though I can hardly beat the songs above a difficulty of six feet...

That game got really popular in Mexico, that and it's competitor, Pump It Up Extreme. People would get in tourneys in small towns.

I recently got it for the PSP and me and a friend would always get really competitive. That's actually our only non-fighting game that we get competitive with.

Taiko no Tatsujin 1-2
Bust-a-Groove 1-2
Audition Portable (I just like the moe moe characters)
How do you make your games? I see. Thank you for the prompt replies, but it is my considered opinion that you're doing it wrong inefficiently because I am a perfushenal professional. Do it my way this way and we can all ascend VN Nirvana together while allowing me to stroke my ego you will improve much faster. Also, please don't forget to thank me for this constructive critique or I will cry and bore you to death respond appropriately with a tl;dr rant discourse of epic adequately lengthy proportions. - Sarcasm Veiled in Euphemism: Secrets of Forum Civility by lordcloudx (Coming soon to an online ebook near you.)

Yo, I remember Bust-a-Groove! That game was crazy, I have no idea why but I loved Gas-O and Bi-O

We like most games of this type. DDR especially: can play... about 8-step Expert on SuperNova 2. Guitar Hero, but not very good at it. Rock Band we do not like as much, but it is still fun. Did not like DJ Hero: more complex than the others, and controller is strange. In the Groove is fun... harder than DDR, and arrows less visible, though.

My most recent favorite rhythm game (and perhaps the most favorite, since this is the only game that I actually enjoy and having fun playing it) is Rhythm Heaven (DS).

It is so refreshing and original ^_^ My most favorite stage is the Fan Stage where an idol is singing and we must cheer her up. And the most funny one is Trio Chorus stage ("Tap to shut your yap!").

I'm with TaleWeaver here, Dance Dance Revolution all the way!

I remember in high school, my friends would all get together for Dance Dance Revolution parties almost every weekend. It was such a blast.

There was once a time where I could even do this... *No, that's not me playing, but I wanted to show that song.*

I miss those fun times...

Bust A Groove is probably my favorite. It's so nostalgic and fun...
Too bad my copy of the second game never went past the main menu. >.<

Well, I like 'Taiko no Tatsujin', too. :) (I started with AC7, though, grew myself with AC11.)
However, what 'bout DJMAX? Anybody play or like TECHNIKA or something?
(Clazziquai's songs are My favorite, especially 'Electronics' & 'Color' :D )

- Well, I'm a 'POP DJ' now, with the POOR playing.

P.S. : WHOOPS, DJMAX is not J-game, but Korean one.

I'm a huge fan of tons of these games. XD I own the first three GHs and and the first rockband.

my favorite is Project Diva for the PSP. It's a vocaloid game. but I love how it allows for custom songs on it.

Uhh, most of them kick my ass but I <3 Dance Dance Revolution.

One of my past girlfriends owned all the accessories for it, including a metal dance pad and everything.
Don't worry, we can get through it together. I didn't forget about you! I just got overwhelmed.
