Dollhouse

#1 Post by AllegroDiRossi »

Anyone watch Joss Whedon's Dollhouse?

I just watched the new episode 'Getting Closer'.
Ho, damn!
That show is so good
and it sucks that it's getting cancelled!

Although the second season is sooooo much better than the first.

Do they stream the episodes online at all, like ABC?

I would be mildly interested, since I also missed out on Firefly.
Don't worry, we can get through it together. I didn't forget about you! I just got overwhelmed.

Fox and Hulu stream the episodes, but they only keep the five most recent eps online.
We've also reached the point where the story has become quite involved,
so I don't know if watching just those five episodes would be more confusing than entertaining. =/
And like Firefly, the show is getting cancelled after the next two episodes.

I have a friend who watched all the episodes online even from the first season,
I'll find out where she does it and let you know.

Oh Dollhouse, how I loved thee.

The show did a lot of things right, and I loved exploring the implications of how the world really could be if you could treat brains the same way as hard drives. The characters had a lot of things going for them and Joss did a really good job in terms of casting. I found it interesting that the characters I loved the most were the ones with the loosest morals.

As for season two being better than season one; that's almost obvious. I'm sorry, but the first few episodes were quite frankly horrible compared to the rest of the show. However, anyone that stayed with the show and followed it was treated to a lot of cool things. It reminded me of The Pretender in many ways, except taken to the next level. It's sad it's leaving. And I had such a cool idea for a Dollhouse game too... :(

Tomorrow's the last episode, anyone else tuning in?
