^Thank you! 40 backgrounds is the estimate for now...most likely I'll cut a bunch that I don't find necessary. And you know...for saving time.

I did a CG sketch warm-up (one of the intro scenes), but now I'm going back to sprites. Haven't touched my sketchbook in a month, so it's time to get back into the habit of drawing regularly again.

I'm really excited about this! It looks & sounds brilliant. I'm going to keep an eye on this ^^

Because I was away from the forum for a while, I missed this thread. But I'm so glad to be back---this looks great! I really love the concept, and I can't wait to see more developments.

Almost done with the changes to Kay's side sprite from the mockup that I've been using for awhile now. I am happy with the changes. The old mockup always looked a little off to me, and I feel as though the more cartoony look fits more with Kay's concept work.

This looks super cool, and I like the new mockup you posted. I think one thing that helps is the new one is looking *at* the viewer while the old one was looking up into the air.

@daikiraikimi: Yeah, the face before was kinda derp, hahaha. Her base looks like this now:


Not sure if I will end up using this sprite for Sofie as I am starting to be more inclined to the old one, but at least I got one of her outfits started out of it.

I'm spending NaNoRenO to try to bust out all of my character sprites. Hope I can at least get them all drawn. Then afterward I can revise since I'm making about 10 sprites, yeesh.

Tentative artwork for...something secret for C&C. Once I get closer to the demo, surprises will be revealed.

The art is what sold me on this game--it's stunning! And the storyline seems interesting too. Looking forward to this!
