You are both right. In Corel the gray is visible as hell but on my tablet (and that's 10.1 so nothing small) nothing. In first entry is better version.

Yesterday I made my first character for 5x12 so I could test how it fits with background. Each component has it's own style. (Character has outlines, background not) but I hope it's not uncomfortable because I'm afraid there is not much I can do about it.
The next challenge will be background in day. I'm afraid it will not go as well as the shrine so wish me luck.

Backgrounds in light are much much harder. I don't know how to do them. Nothing is hidden in night so there is no place for imagination. This is also room of MC which I will probably use a lot. Right now it's probably ok, still better than nothing but I hope I will have time for some improvements later.
What do you think? Any tips for what would easily make it batter? Is there something that feels off to you? I feel the balcony space is pretty much ok. My main concern is how to make the rest of picture feel the same. First I will try add tatami but I'm not sure it will be enough.

I didn't make it! But there is not much to do before it's complete.
I released something you can call beta version (0.8 ). Game is playeble from start to finish, all characters, backgrounds and story branches are done and present.
Problem is with text itself. It's completely without proofreading and sadly a lot of humor was lost in translation.
I will probably finish everything in next few weeks and that's why there is one important question I would like to ask:

Is there anyone willing to help with proofreading, when the time comes?
