*sloooooooowly eats cookie ^^*
Thank you! I always appreciate the new stalkers your guys' support for this game. Stay tuned for more

Also, Ryurieri has finished Xavier! *fanfare and confetti* She wanted to experiment with non-bishies guys that had facial hair, and I have to say that the results are just too good :3 See for yourselves.
Xavier by Ryurieri (no goatee)
Xavier by Ryurieri (no goatee)
Xavier by Ryurieri (with goatee)
Xavier by Ryurieri (with goatee)
And I was so inspired by it that I had the sudden urge to write a haiku about Xavier.
Totes an awesome dude
Wears fedoras like a boss
Just don't say hipster!
So you guys can vote on which version you like better: facial hair or no facial hair?

Facial makes him look more.. Cocky.
On the non-facial I was focusing more on his eyes. But with the facial it seemed more balanced.

Yosh, goatee goes very well with his outfit. I tend to think fedoras look better on guys who have facial hair. It's just that....special finishing touch. While the version without it....for some reason makes me think he's gonna go fishing. idk why....I really don't. O.o What's wrong with my brain?

Maybe that's why Terry dumped him
That's not actually the reason why she dumped him, FYI.
But yes, cocky was the look that I wanted. And babes, the dude is available

I'm so glad we agree :3 But the fishing part? Never thought of that
And psst... Ryurieri says that she's working on Alfonse next. Blond bishies, here we come!

He's too shota for me to believe that he didn't just draw on his chin with magic marker. <_< No beard.

The Xavier you're looking at is actually the second version of him. The first one looked even more girly (if that's possible), so I sent him back for a hair cut. Still, appreciate your feedback and everything ^^

Also, Ryurieri finished drawing Al! *fanfare, confetti, and even more free cookies* He looks a bit too young though, so I asked her to change some things about the kiddo. Expect to see him soon :)

All according to the keikaku Al, run! Save yourself!

The kid doesn't understand Freudian thought, so he's totally oblivious to sexual innuendo. Please don't taint his pure and innocent mind D; Other than that, you can do whatever you want to him :3

BTW, updates that aren't art related: Funnyguts is pretty much done with implementing a system to sell goods that are a day old. Anything that isn't sold on the first day gets moved to the day-old rack to be sold. If it doesn't sell on the second day that it's in stock, then it disappears. Funnyguts and Mild Curry are working on merging the selection and selling portions together. Meanwhile, I'm slowly getting the script typed up at a snail's pace thanks to my homework load. I get the entire Thanksgiving week off, so hopefully I can get a lot more done then.

raaaaage

Anyway, I can post my little python script up here if you're okay with it, RE. That way people have something to mess around with.

Edit: RE said yes in chat, so here it is. Warning: This is not Ren'Py, it is just plain Python. You may have to run it from the command line/terminal.

Aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh long post DDDDDDD: Bear with me on this.

Alright, voting on Xavier's face (hurr hurr, it sounds ridiculous when I say it like that derpa derp) is now officially closed. 3 votes plus 4 from the team says yes to goatee, while 1 said no goatee. Majority vote wins, so Xavier's final design gets facial hair. Whee~

(Not really) Art update: Ryurieri is working on Santos and Aaron in no particular order, or so she says. I haven't gotten any word back from her about her progress, so I'm not sure when the last bishies will come

Coding update: Curry has an information/profile screen up and running that can have its contents changed at my ease. As Elise gets to know each person individually, the descriptions will change depending on what she knows and thinks of them. Also featured on the screen is a picture of the selected character and his/her likes, dislikes, basic information (date of birth, blood type, etc.), and current thoughts. Telepathy? Hells yeah :D A character's thoughts might give you some insight into what they're going through or the kind of choices you should make when interacting with them.

Writing update: I headdesk so much because I can't seem to satisfy my inner-critic with what I keep typing up and Funnyguts will shoot me if I keep bothering her. I keep revising the first day when everyone explodes over the terrible news, but I'm not sure if the pacing in one section is too quick or too slow. So... free cookies to you if you can get through this ginormous textblock of doom and give some feedback! *evil crackling in the distance*

And you will not get a cookie if you say "too long; didn't read." Any comments on my style would be nice too.

BTW, this is not really related to this WIP, but you all should check out Funnyguts' Madoka Magica fangame. She's building up the RPG system from scratch, and beta-testers to stamp out any errors in the coding would be greatly appreciated. She puts up a demo update every Monday, so go on over there and help test out the system.

*munches cookies* Mm, let's see.

I think the pacing is good. You blend narration and dialogue really well! I can more or less make out who's talking without referring to the 'e's and the 'a's and the '$'s, which is fantastic. One thing that sticks out is the random crop-uppening of awkward phrases. Here, for example:
"With that said, he walks away. It's not even a split second later when Renee, Aaron and Santos exchange glances, shrug, and follow my dad into the kitchen."
"Not even a split second later" sounds...weird. Maybe it's just me, but there seems to be a bizarre flow when I read that quote aloud. Involving the main character might help, since she's still on the set I think; i.e. have her observe the act: "Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Renee, Aaron and Santos exchange glances and shrug, before following my dad into the kitchen." Or something. < You asked about pacing, I gave unwanted feedback. OTL

Anyway, v. happy to see this sneak peek!

:3 Thanks for taking the time to comment, babe (you are a babe, right?). I would give you a whole bunch of sweets but then you'd get diabetes and that'll be terrible :c So I can finally stop worrying about whether the thing is going too fast and start paying more attention to the parts that have strange syntax. I tried to vary the sentence structure so it wouldn't sound repetitive, but I'll go through it once more like how I've been doing this whole damn time T_T And don't worry about giving "unwanted feedback," because I love eating good critique. In other words, as long as you ain't trollin', COME AT ME BRO.

Anyhow, it's about time I tried to pretty up the first post again. If I can get ImageShack to work with me, then I'll update the OP and stick Alfonse up there.
