It fixes a major bug where variables were not saved or rolled-back when the variables were only accessed from inside a python function.
It improves locking inside the video and audio playback code, which should fix the crashes people have been having.
It fixes a problem that prevented the updater from working on XP.
It fixes a number of encoding problems that were preventing Ren'Py from working when a non-English directory was in the projects path.
Everyone using 6.14.0 should upgrade. On Windows XP, this upgrade means a re-download. On other supported operating systems, the updater built in the launcher should work.

Based on the tracebacks I was given, I think they're related to the video and audio locking issue. If that's the case, they should be fixed. I was able to play several hundred sounds in a row without incident.

While downloading and updating worked fine for me, Editra is being a whiny little brat when it comes to opening it. Then again, I tried it on its own and I can run it without going through the launcher so.... that's weird but I can work around it? Ah well. Works like a charm aside from that. I suspect this "issue" is just my computer and Windows XP. I'll try this again once I get my new computer with Win 7, then I should not have this issue.
About Editra I noticed that if you have the autocorrect turned on and are editing a big file, it slows down a lot (I mean, considering is just a text editor!). So a tip is to turn autocorrect off if you notice that is very slow (or edit smaller files!).
I attempted to use the launcher to run editra, it ran an updater and sat at 100%. I left it alone for a while and when I came back it just said there was some sort of error and it couldn't launch. The launcher didn't crash, and I can launch jedit just fine. I'm not sure how to get a more accurate bug report, but I might be able to make it happen again if there's something you want me to do or look for.

That's not really a bug report.
That's because when I went to copy the error, the screen automatically closed on me after one second.
I just managed to capture the error window for you though (using the time consuming and old fashioned method of "print screen and then edit in it paint"), I've attached it here.

For what it's worth, that's exactly the error I get if one of the graphics for the toolbar icons is missing. I would suggest deleting the editra folder from the inside the Ren'Py folder and doing an update, it's possible that your install got damaged one way or another.
I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.

The problem seem to be accented vowels (è, à. etc.), after deleting every single one of them from the dialogues the game starts without problems.
