A sprite in progress. I haven't drawn for a long while so am getting back into it by drawing sprites. I haven't seen many child sprites so thought I would make one. Colours are not final.

2015 was a big year for me. Lots of ups and downs but overall a good year. I think I could summarize the entire year with "drawing BGs" haha but here's what I was up to:

January - Worked on Maleficent Justice and an Unannounced Project (the one pictured in January). Entered a collab with a writer.
February - Collab with said writer didn't pan out. Worked on Regeria Hope. Wrapped up Maleficent Justice. Became active in /a/'s weekend waifu thread and improved my character art a bit.
March - Suspended commissions and made a game for NaNoRenO. (See my sig)

April - Back to work! Started working on SC2VN again. Quit another collab in favor of doing commissions. Fell out of /a/ WWT.
May - Worked on Vision of Aurora Borealis. Started hand-painting BGs, but I got frustrated because results weren't up to par with my 3D+2D work.
June - Bought an Intous. Did a lot of character sketches and studies.

July - Finished Aurora Borealis BGs. Started work on Deirdre: My Blade (DMB).
August - Busy finishing up SC2VN.
September - SC2VN released. Started work on Sickness VN. I was getting comfortable with hand-painted BGs.

October - Failed the YuriJam (Pictured above is a BG I made for said jam). A local typhoon hit us hard. Did not produce as much art as I wanted.
November - Got busy with life. Did a bunch of sketches whenever I could.
December - Wrapped up work for Sickness VN. Took an early break halfway through the month.

Throughout the year, I experimented with different styles and workflows. Gradually moved away from relying on 3D and drew a lot of stuff that was outside my comfort zone (like sci-fi). And I also discovered a lot of great artists who fueled my desire to improve. It was a very productive year.

This year I'm shifting my focus. If 2015 was my 'background art' year, this time I want to focus on composition and character art and illustration in general. Luckily, I'm working on a project that needs exactly that - Deirdre: My Blade (https://deirdredevs.wordpress.com/). Not to say I'm done with background art, but I need to improve on other areas as well.

I'm really looking forward to what 2016 has for me!

And on a completely different note, I think my English improved too haha :D

Looks awesome; it's cool to see your different styles. The hand looks especially great IMO, they're always really hard for me to draw so I can appreciate a well drawn hand :')
The only thing that bothers me a bit is how defined the mouth is compared to the simplicity of everything else.
