SOLVED - window hide with dissolve not working?

window hide with dissolve not working?

It used to work... I swear I didn't do anything strange...

    scene bg_last_stop_day with dissolve

    $ renpy.pause(2.0, hard=True)
    
    window show 
    with dissolve

The window show is working fine though... just the window hide no longer accepts dissolve...
