My first game

#1 Post by gamestoenjoy »

I am currently in advanced stages of developing my first flash game.
The game is called Space Control, which is a space shooting game with high quality graphics and sound.
I embedded many visual affects in the game, and each type of enemy ship has its own behavior.

The game is still in beta stage, so I can only provide some screenshots:
Screenshots of Space Control

If you have any feedback following the screenshots, I will be happy to hear.

Hope I can release it soon, after I will be satisfied with the result.

Is there any sort of digital storytelling in this game? There doesn't seem to be from the screenshots, but if there's not, it's probably off-topic for these forums.

Yes there is.
You need to save your home planet from the invading armies,
and destroy the bosses that command those armies.

I don't quite think that's what PyTom meant when he said "digital storytelling". We usually mean that the game contains a large amount of plot, be it dialogue or monologue. Think "Doom" vs. "Max Payne", both FPS games, but the latter contains a huge amount of storytelling while the former... well, the only eloquent things in "Doom" are the guns.

Thanks, I understand what you mean.
I guess the plot of my game is not complicated enough,
but it is the same for all shooting games

I beg to differ.
Three unique paths through the game. A multitude of endings. Three possible love interests.

It's all in a side-scrolling shooter. :)
