Nice tutorial. Is there any way to make a tutorial about character postures and compositions? I'm really lacky in this field and even drawing from real life photos does not help :/

I just... Can't seem to be able yet to capture a pose that seems lively (with movement induced) and natural (with poses that don't make you think it's not natural) at the same time.

Oh, and another one about how to color characters as in light novel illustrations.

It's like in Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko, with all the pika pika *_*

In the internet there are many tutorials about that  :

Poses:
The best tutorials about poses, anatomy and composition I ever found are by Andrew Loomis. Since his books are so old and popular there are many scans of his entire books on the internet.
I hope those links work:
http://alexhays.com/loomis/
http://www.placidchaos.com/AM/index.php ... rew_loomis
Figure Drawing for All its worth and Drawing the head and hands are my favorites. They are excellent for both beginners and advanced artists!
There are also sites that help with the poses, like the so famous posemaniacs:
http://www.posemaniacs.com/
The best part is that you can rotate the bodies and it shows the muscles. Sometimes it is not 100% anatomically correct, but it's still great.
Oh, and in deviantart there's this cool tutorial, I think you are going to love it ♥ :
http://fav.me/d16vfl2
It's a short but helpful and fun tutorial about poses  .

Color:
The site you linked has really cute art. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it  .
Anyway, I think this tutorial might be exactly what you are looking for:
http://raemz.wordpress.com/category/tutorials/
(scroll down to start with the first part :) )
It has a somewhat similar coloring style and it has many details!

Nice tutorial! It's much appreciated :)
A question: How do you make the art so... clean?? The lines are defined clearly and are completely, well, clean >3<
When I draw they always come out scraggly and wacky D:

@snow blossom
then it's the image size!
just change the image size into a big and wide image (usually I use 3000, or 4000), so your line will come out clean, not... scraggly xD
then just adjust it back when you finished with the art!(of course the image size again :D)
I hope that helps!

as snow blossom says - do larger art XD i also work with like 2000-3000 pixel dimensions >_<
shrinking them make them look a lot better later

as well as use CTRL on the lines to make them straighter
holding CTRL allows you to move the lines freely so even if you drew a short line - you can actually Pull it out longer =D

@snowblossom if you want to make clean lineart (do you use tablet??), there's many style to use depend on people
but I'm following this one xD a bit of change to adjust with my style though

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUYeoypW ... re=related
she really help me a lot! <3 (for coloring with sai she have the tutorials too, I don't use her style though but it's a good tutorial)
Yaaay let's do our best to make sai easier to use lol and our drawing will be great!

few tips (I have some difficult at first but now it's pretty easy!)
*(Don't forget to adjust your image)
*(use binary tool or ink tool on the layer one not the pen one)
*(I recommend you to use the s-7)

@15385bic I hope you don't mind I'm putting that up xD
