papillon: Really? I felt like it worked out to me .... because ... well, I had a period in my life where I felt like Ochi did, I'll just put it that way. But I got over it. I matured. I can't say it was any one thing, just a combination of life experiences.

In that way ...
I believe that Ochi realized that something was wrong, and was able to conclude that what she couldn't control but knew about on a subconscious level (Ori) and what she could (her behavior as Ochi) was fully realized when they finally argued over same damn fool thing about the strawberries. At least, that was the impression I got, I could be totally wrong. But I felt like Ochi finally had it shoved in her face that the way that she was acting was not the way that a partner in a relationship should act.

Sorry this is kinda rough since I don't have an installed game with me right now but...
I know Onoe #6 is "Think Ori" then "She's too young" select then "Go to Party"
Part II paths is "Think Ori" then "Because there is Ori" then "Go to Library". #4 is one of these Part II endings, as with most others.

Every other combination gives me the Nobody ending #7 and no Part II!

What you say seems to suggest #5 ending is a Part I ending, but I cannot seem to hit it.
I've replayed through this arc many times, but perhaps is the choice influenced by a decision made much earlier? Because it doesn't seem so.

I really want Ori ending (#5)! Thanks!

Yet, Yoshiyuki knew that in that current situation she was not able to counter-act that. As for Ochi herself, she knew that something was wrong, no doubt.
In fact, it's important on which days the events take place so that one is able to find out.

*Jots it down. Thanks! I did not make that choice because it does not make logical sense.
My brain defaulted that Go to Party automatically meant an Onoe ending, good or bad.
Sometimes I hate logic. :D

I'm pretty impressed by the game...but the text could have used some work. There are a lot of tense disagreements and awkwards wordings.

Well, I use non-matching tenses in my native language as well (and it's not a settled issue in there either), but I understand that some people are more sensitive to this. I can only say sorry, but I do hope you could enjoy the game nevertheless :(

Falling asleep isn't really unwell. :) No, I think I just spent too long reading it without doing other things. Normally VNs make me get really restless after a while and take lots of breaks to refresh my eyes and keep my brain turning over. I'm a compulsive multi-tasker.

So, immersion leads to Forgetting To Pause. :)

It's true that it has such an ambiance that you're just... in there... And you can't leave ! XD... As I was playing yesterday, knowing that I had things to do after that, I was all "I hope it's not too long.... but yet I hope it is o_o.... In any case, I just *can't* stop in the middle of this !".
It's an experience that is lived as a whole. Not the kind of game you play a bit, then let it sleep for a day and take it up again.

Sounds like me. Only I'm writing them, not usually playing them. LOL. But I can't stay for too long on one thing, I've gotta do something else. If I can't write, I draw. If I can't draw, I write. Continuously.

Got 2 and 4 too. Now only 8 is missing. Interesting ending (4) and quite a plot twist, too. Liked it, although it left some strange aftertaste... as if it'd all resolved too easily and too well. I was still expecting something negative to come up...

Hey, but honestly: Now you've done it again and raised the measure for VNs - great, great game! I think the only aspect I didn't like was that sometimes sentences were spread out over too many screeens - but that's a very personal opinion. Great job, people! And probably Ochi is the best-written VN character ever (including commercial games I've played).

Well, don't go all sad on me...the language is generally only a bit odd, and only occasionally. I could always understand what was being said. It just felt like something I should mention.

Well, the child is highly susceptible to death... *hint*
But that may well be something entirely different. Anyway, I hope you'll try to figure out the extra things, music-wise... and all that. It may bring a bit more light into the picture. But not really anything negative... I think.

Thank you. Ochi is really the central character, which is why she is called Ochi... *hint for denzil*

About to hit 150 downloads on the torrent.

Not as good as I'd hoped, since I was unable to seed constantly. At least someone's saved 12 gigs of transfer, which is a lot in some countries.

But also realize this, being the most 'professional' OELVN so far (I think no one disputes this), it's roughly 8-10 times the size of a typical OELVN. So naturally it will have fewer completeds in the long run.

With a lot of C70 stuff being posted now, some people are finding this torrent during their usual filtering.

Also will be unable to seed over weekend, but will monitor the torrent. GMT/US daytime zones are my office hours so they can be seeded then.

Realized that the direct download links, including pre-packaged Mac and Linux have been at renai archives for some time now, can point people to them.
