I find Penny Arcade's Extra Credits a really interesting series as well, so why don't we just sticky this whole thing in the appropriate forum?

The entire show can also be found here, a little more neatly organized.

Well heck, I wanna play with you guys!

I also recommend the Extra Credits site itself. In addition to the excellent videos, you'll also find articles, podcasts, suggested reading, and a decent forum as well.

I love watching extra credit, it's entertaining and educational! I'm also glad to see something tackle more of the development of games.

I'm definitely loving what these guys have to say. It's like having a buddy who has already done what I want to do, and wants to guide me through the process.

The #renpy IRC channel is a great place to chat with other devs. Due to the nature of IRC and timezone differences, people probably won't reply right away.

If you'd like to view or use any code from my VN PM me. All code is freely available without restriction, but also without warranty or (much) support.

Season 6, Ep. 24 - Myers Briggs and Character Creation

http://www.penny-arcade.com/patv/episod ... r-creation

I know a lot of people here are interested in Meyers-Briggs, but I don't recall people using it in the opposite direction - starting with an M-B archetype, and working back from that to a character's actions.

I'm subbed to their YouTube channel and still regularly learn from them and enjoy the easy to digest format. It's good for those who are already devs and beginners alike. I regularly read Gamasutra and would definitely recommend it to any devs out there who don't already frequent the site. If you want dev discussion, post mortems, and so on it's a great place to go. Not every article is great, but there is a lot of useful stuff there and often decent enough discussion in the comments too.

I'll have to check out that Myers-Briggs episode when I get a chance!

I love extra credits a lot since they are good at sharing info and don't make you feel lost for not playing videogames. And their topics are refreshing too and are a wealth of info.
