I've always wondered how people can calculate the percentages. I would really struggle to give a numerical indication of my progress at almost any given time.

In addition to that, there's no mentioning of the game's overall finalization phase - you have the elements and that's fine, but even if you have everything, there is still a lot of proofreading, editing, re-arranging and tweaking, and this "editing" phase can take a huge amount of time. That's why if there must be numbers, I would definitely add "Editing" as a sixth item.

To me, it's relatively easy, but the number itself means little, it's only a rough guide. I have about 60 scenes I'm supposed to write for our NaNoRenO project, and I've got about fifteen done, so I figure I'm about 25% of the way through that part.

Art is easier, of course, 'cause it has a definite 'done' point at which you can be relatively sure it's at least finished enough to be releasable, you're less likely to find typoes and logic errors in your character sprites!

It's a good point about assembly and testing and so on, though. I have a funny feeling that our NaNo project is probably going to get a release at the end of March and then another release a couple of weeks later when we discover that it's not actually completable...

Well we are searching for skilled graphics to create background for this project (so Yvan can keep on event cg and sprites). If there is anyone who can draw good backgrounds, then please post me Pm....

If you have your script close to 100%, you KNOW what BGS, event CGS, and all the sprites you will need. Mine is at, like, 90% so I can actually say "6 out of 13 BGs or something" .... I'm just no good at math, so I don't try for percentages.

lol okay it should be 2 percents
well basicaly i need 14 backgrounds so far (script is done for 10 percents... but i think mostly it will be 3x this amount)
