Need help with a title (chosen: The Rook's Mark)

The themes are ravens, a bookmark, and a book because I wanted to take the ideas from Shifted and re-use them ... and it's sort of a mystery game. (But with very few puzzles).

But I can't think of a good title re-iterating those themes. The only thing I came up with is "Reading Between the Lines" and that's kind of long and lame.

Any other ideas?

obviously, the first thing that comes to mind is Raven Marks (bookmar, raven) and Feather Black (black letters, black feathers), but why not keep it simple: The Black. Or you can call it Raven's Black, the ink color.

Well, it's hard to come up with things if you have two keywords (bookmark and book are very similar). :?

something involving 'Rook' maybe? :)

Rook's Mark, sounds a bit like bookmark?

"The black, the book and the mark"

Hm... I guess I'm not good at this either ^^;

I'd put "Where the Ravens cry" or something that sounds like that...
When the title is unusual, it brings out curiosity because it's not the standard way of thinking.

Or... "Raven Note" ? :D

Then keep it simple and go for the artsy "Ravens, a Bookmark, and a Book". Sounds like a good movie title to me.

"Rook in a Book" :D (Like Cat in a Hat)
Don't judge a rook by its cover. :P Nevermore!

Okay, seriously... just throwing out some ideas:

Records of the Ravens (or The Raven Records)
Black Secrets
The Mystery of the Ravensbook
Of Blackbirds, Books and Bookmarks
The Book of Ravens: Dark Tales

I like Dizzy's suggestion of Black Secrets...here's a few more

Secrets of the Ravens
Raven's Mystery
Book of the Raven <yeah, yeah, I know...that's one's REAL original>
Raven's Tales

=)

After considering it, I'd probably go for something like 'Corvus' - the genus ravens are a part of. But then, I can get pretty pretentious when it comes to naming things. ;-)

I'd suggest "Black Mark". Integrates the raven and bookmark concepts, and adds some element of a crime - i.e. a black mark. ^_^

Book of Karasu?

Karasu being crow in Japanese, but it sounds silly and is crow...not raven

Just tossing out a few ideas. Not sure how the book, bookmark, and raven are connected but...

- The Raven's Tome
- Tome of the Raven
- Raven's Feather: The lost Pageholder
- Blackened Feather, Lost Bookmark
- Bookmark of the Raven
- Puzzled Raven
- Readings of a Raven
- The Book without a Place
- Suspended in Time (Bookmark holds your place in a book. But to those within the story, time stands still)
- Suspended Reading
- The Bookmark Mystery
- "Character's Name Here" 's Book
- "Character's Name Here" ' s Raven
- Lost Tome
- Lost Place (Place within book, lacking a bookmark)

A slight spin-off of mikey's "Raven Marks" - "Raven's Mark." :P

I like Nafai's suggestion of "Black Mark" as well. Maybe it could be doubled up with other suggestions to make something like "Book of Raven: the Black Mark." :?

Rofl... that reminds me of the eroge Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito (Yami, the Book, and the Hat's Travels).

But anything I could have thought oh has already been suggested by someone else.
