Re: Day counter on site...
What would be kind of fun might be to schedule a meeting after one of the big summer cons - the sort that we might have multiple forum members going to. The idea would be for everyone to extend their trips by a day, and rent a room at a restaurant or something, if we have enough people. Bonus points if we could convince the con itself to host a VN development track, or something like that.
(Potentially, this could be done on multiple continents.)
We'd need someone competent to coordinate this - which pretty much rules me out.

Do we still have the map that shows where everyone is?

Re: Day counter on site...
Had to do a bit of searching to pull this dusty thing up again. We got 24 American users to any 1 or 3 users from another country. It's not a map, but it gives a general idea of where everyone is.SusanTheCat wrote:Do we still have the map that shows where everyone is?

I still don't think an IRL meet-up with a lot of the forumgoers is feasible, since even those users in the US are scattered from the east to the west coasts. Not only that, but a lot are still teenagers and their parents might be paranoid about letting them meet with "strangers" (mine are, at least). I did get to meet with Hijiri during the last AX, but it was really crowded over in Artist Alley and we didn't get to chat much about VN devving.
Would a tribute VN to Lemma be a good idea? I've always wondered what the Hanafuda Club game was and it'd be sweet if those old games could be remade.

I can contribute with something if there's an anniversary project going on (:
I don't know if anybody else is from Chile to meet up with them here ): (and I'm too broke to travel to the States ;_; One day, though, one day... *raises fist* )

Could use this to poll forummers' geographical distribution.

Not sure if HTML is parsed in forum posts (probably not from what I remember of phpBB3), but maybe there's a way for Pytom to embed this map to a forum page somewhere so everyone can see.

If I had the option to visit my folks right now, I'd definitely make the trip to go see Hijiri and Cheerymoya, since I think the two of you are from that area. Which is hilarious because it's not like I can take you guys to a bar, which is my first option. XD
I think the nearest LS-er is actually Crystal! One day, babe. :-*

I went ahead and added myself to the map. I'm interested to see what fun projects will be popping up for the anniversary!

Slams head to desk!... Now stalkers will know where to find me...
So that map was for meetup location, not my current home... Anyway, how do I move it away from my Taguig House so I can put it instead in my office where I am more accessible?...

If there is no option to edit the current marker placed there, add a 2nd one, labeling it so its obviously an updated one.
I can then delete the old one...I think...
And...lucky LA people

I added myself in the marker, but you have to zoom in so much since Philippines is a pretty small country in the map xD. I don't live in the said area, but it's the most accessible for me to go to, just like Uncle Mugen's meetup location. xD

This would be fun! I'll add my location later. But with school, and the fact I live around 50 miles from any major area may pose a problem...I'll try though.

I have a good 25K words on that thing and some cool art... it got shelved for lack of inspiration though I keep thinking about reviving it, but... Gah >_< The demo had char intros and even a hidden path to challenge Lemma herself toCheeryMoya wrote:Would a tribute VN to Lemma be a good idea? a strip hanafuda game
And then there's the transition from my homebrew engine to Ren'Py complicating the hanafuda minigame ^^;But as for Lemma, here's the full logo pic by magi-san

I don't actually live in Chicago but I put my location as Chicago so that my true, para-Chicago location will be less likely to be ascertained by scary anonymous stalkers.

Not really checking the forums any more due to time constraints, so if you want to contact me, PM. I'll get a notification and log in.
Also, I've been hit and run posting, which means I don't see many replies. If you want to respond to something I've said, also feel free to PM me.
NOTE: if you've got questions about vnovel or things like that, it's Leon that you should be contacting. Leon's been pretty much handling everything, but due to various reasons, I've had to withdraw entirely.

Sounds cool. I doubt there will be anything in my neck of the woods though. Really needs at least 3 people to be a group.
I guess it would be near impossible to have a group event somewhere in the US, and video conference it so people in other continents can be virtual members.

The #renpy IRC channel is a great place to chat with other devs. Due to the nature of IRC and timezone differences, people probably won't reply right away.
