IndieDB/Desura page is up! http://www.indiedb.com/games/project-dualis
(How do you name a game anyways? If someone knows the art of naming, give me a call.) In short, Dualis is a dual-arc Visual Novel on love and the meaning of one's self. It will be out in August or early September of 2013, with a free download on Desura and IndieDB's site.

Synopsis: Yuki and Yumi are sisters with opposite personalities, but in reality the two are tied together a lot more closely than what it first seems. (Let's just say there's a bit of fiction mixed with reality.) Our protagonist, Haru joins the already disbanded literary club together with bookworm Yuki, but soon ends on a collision course with her overprotective sister...

Artwork is now in the making, currently by http://drawingneko.deviantart.com. and the second artist on the project. http://josephseraph.deviantart.com
The work for gathering stock resources and music has been started, the game will feature a soundtrack by Kevin Macleod, http://www.incompetech with mainly piano music, jazz and perhaps some chiptunes. Lastly, the game is fully voiced, from main cast to narration, thanks to the VoiceIyuu Team. http://www.voiceiyuu.com

There's two main paths, and 3 endings which could be considered as true, plus the shorter bad ends. While it's BxG I don't think you could think of it as a dating sim either, that's not where the focus is.

Characters:
Haru: A first-year student at Kakunoshima high. Our protagonist is snarky at times and a bit too smart for his own good. Though he has a tendency to dream big.
"If someone had stopped me to ask what I was actually doing, my answer would have been something along the lines of 'To seek solitude...' Apparently, I thought there was something cool about being alone."

Keita: Haru's classmate, self-proclaimed 'bro' and best friend from middle school. He's always on full power setting and a little annoying to be around, though he means well. Currently dreaming of setting up a school band.
"C'mon, it's you and me, bro. What do say?"

Yuki: The shy, silent and lonesome bookworm. She just has a bit of trouble communicating her feelings, but in fact she's surprisingly talkative and tends to dream even bigger than our protagonist.
"Um, I just like to read..."/ "Plenty of other parts were missing as well. The girl had no legs, only her left arm was functioning properly and most importantly, she had no heart. The girl was mechanical, a machine." (a passage from her stories)
Image

Yumi: The polar opposite of her sister, she's aggressive, realistic and straightforward. She appears strong on the outside, but she has only grown up that way, since she feels that she has to protect her sister.
"Huh? Got something to complain about?"

You stated that your script is done. Therefore, if I may ask, how many paths and endings are there? Quite a few choices, or just a few? Any complex gameplay, unusual story elements, or notable features? If you had to give the VN a rating for content, what might it be?

What do you mean by crying game? Are you referencing the movie and its twist or are you talking about making your game a tearjerker?

a total of 5 menus, so the story is pretty linear with the choices, there's two arcs, ie main paths and 3 endings which could be considered true, plus shorter bad ends.

for complex gameplay, no such things. just choices and narration, but there's very little other gameplay mechanics that the story would have supported, even if I had the chance.

Unusual story elements... well, it's hard to say anything without spoiling, but let's just say there's a bit of fiction mixed with reality.
Notable features... I don't know about the audience yet, but writing it made me cry, sigh and laugh, all in a good meaning. (That's what the crying game stands for, a whole range of emotions.)

A rating for content... Teen or +14. no H or explicit content whatsoever.
but I'll try to see if I can add some of these to the starting post as well, thanks.

I checked out your blog. :) May I ask what your native language is?

Anyway, this seems interesting. I see it's more like a semi-kinetic novel than a longer visual novel or dating sim. Hmm... do you have art for the other characters already? :) I'd love to see them. Hahaha. I'll be looking forward to this.

My native language is Finnish, even if that's only on a 'nice to know' -level of things.
Other than that, the story is pretty kinetic and compact, but personally I like games where the story takes you somewhere, rather than having you decide everything for it. At least one can relax for a while.
Unfortunately, the other artwork is still at sketching stages, and I don't want to clump the main post too much either. I'll probably post some more once there's more stuff to brag about.

Now updated with material from the second artist on the project, http://josephseraph.deviantart.com/

while simple, I think these have a dream-like quality to them. Well, expect big things. (or something.)

I could tell right away that the two girls were related, nice character design! (The girls are adorable too, btw). And so far I like the protagonist as well, I'm a sucker for snarkers.

Looking forward to it, the girls sound cute and the set-up is solid.

A desura/indiedB page is now up. Additional artwork and news will hopefully be added as time goes, but for now I'm feeling pretty accomplished just because of this.

Random notes:

I like the hospital room event CG.

The text box seems a bit wide to be comfortably readable.

Still alive! or something like that... Work is progressing, though there's still some GCs missing, and voicing to be done, but anyways. A short promo video has also been posted on youtube.

Resurrection time! I've been lazy about posting here, but now that I've got the final voice files, work has been started for final testing. Expect a release during August or early September at the very least.
