I'm in for this, been wanting to do this for quite some time, good excuse as any to start working on a (first) visual novel.
I've got a team kinda sorta put together, but I'm entirely willing to do everything myself if I have to...it's fun to be able to control everything, in some sense. I have a basic plot outline and some 'mood music' that I used to just help me with the writing, but I'll be writing new tunes for the actual thing. March is gonna be a busy month, and I'm ready for it.
If I end up with extra sprites (unlikely) or extra music (very likely), I'll probably throw them into CC as well as I make them.

Posting again to say that I have an idea for a game I might make for nanoreno. If you want to join me just let me know
Elisabeth is a girl who lives in a small quiet German village and who enjoys stargazing, and one night she stumbles upon a small schack out in the woods. Inside she meets the scientist Karl, who claims the world is about to end - and that he can stop that from happening by turning back time. At first she thinks he is mad, but the following day things that Elisabeth did seems to have been undone. Will Elisabeth ever be able to meet her parents again, who are out of town and can not return? When the people of the village are forced to relive the same day, will they be able to live their normal lives? And does any of them have anything to do with Karl's prophecy?
The game is supposed to be about mystery and investigation.
I posted some more information in a topic in the idea forum:

Loooking forward to March... can't wait!

I'm really excited for this year's Nanoreno, last year's results were awesome. XD
I might join as well, it seems March I get the whole last week off >u< great for last week asset making lol.
I think I might just do the whole vn myself, with the help of a proofreader ofc.
This time I need to plan things more before March comes.

Try
FreePlane. It's identical to
FreeMind except that FreePlane includes a SpellCheck, plus free-floating bubbles, and you can fiddle with the fonts too!

No, I'm afraid there's a height requirement and three drink minimum.
Yes, anyone can 'join' a NaNoReno. There's no formal joining requirements other than just saying you're in.
I might be in myself this year; if anyone has ever had a desire to draw some Luchadores or something, you might want to hit me up.
i have no signature and i must obscure game reference

You want to make a visual novel with
wrestlers? Oh-kaaaay...

if you can pull it off.

That sounds like it could be a whole can of AWESOMENESS!

I think I'm going to try and attempt something for this year's NaNoRenO, considering I've been into VN making for years and I have nothing to show for it so far... It might be something really small but I want to at least get *something* released!
Maybe this is the motivation I need to get in gear? ...or maybe not, but I can try, at least! T____T

I'm going to do this. Especially since I pass the height and drinking requirements.

Now that we have released our game, we’re up to try Nanoreno this year !
I already have an idea, which can be summarize by “Awkward : the visual novel”. It’s gonna be interesting…if we succeed

.
The problem is that we’re still uncomfortable with English, so we’ll need translators to help us once again. If someone is interested, PM me

.

Dammit, I'm throwing my hat into the ring, belatedly. Unless I join another devo team, I'm going to try and do the following this March;
- Form a dev team
- Write & Plan a full game
- Bring a game concept to the demo stage
- Prepare said concept for preliminary fund-raising and subsequent development.
There is a 75% chance of dismal failure, but I am going to be an optimist. Maybe. I know it is possible, but whether or not it happens isn't just up to me.

I'm going to work on a NanoReno game along with some other volunteers. In the meantime, I'm working more on getting my own game out the door.

I want to participate this year too.
Even if it's just a two minute game with stickfigures, I'll make *something*.
